I drew it with the only thing I have available here....a ball-point pen! Didn't scan too well though...oh well, thought I'd share it anyways. Be kind, I couldn't rub anything out! Wah!

I think its really good! The only thing I would have done was left the eye clean so it pops more but thats personal preference. Did you use a skull for reference? Also how long did this take you to finish?

Looks gorgeous, man. The saliva strands dangling from the tongue are a nice touch.

Also how long did this take you to finish? The eye isn't quite so dark on the real thing, if that's what you meant. I had to try and balance out the contrast after I scanned it... I did use a skull, from the Royal Tyrrell Museum mount. And it took me...a little while to finish. Haha, I really can't remember. Took at least the length of The Resistance by Muse and Infinity Land by Biffy Clyro. ;D Here's an image of the skull on Wikipedia: Also thanks to everyone for the kind words!

Here's a Spinosaurus head I drew (again in ball point pen...like I said, it's all I've got here!). This one's a bit more of a quickie, it's a lot smaller than the Dilophosaurus but in a similar style.

Really like these! Can't believe you're using a pen. I would freak if I couldn't use my eraser along the way. lol! I love all the scaly details. Must have taken some time! BTW, I like the eye on the Dylopho. Don't many of today's predatory reptiles have a bit of a camouflaged detailing to their eyes, so their prey can't quite tell if or when they're zeroing in on them?

As I said before, the eye does have some detailing on the real thing, but isn't quite that dark. It's just a compromise I had to reach when compensating for my rubbish scanner (which is also a printer - jack of all trades, master of none).
Still, thank you for the kind comments and inventive justification, Meso-Cenozoic!

Many snakes have a blotch or line through their eye, in order to break up an otherwise obvious object--one that would get picked up pretty readily by wary prey or scanning predators.

Kickass Das... Is it based on the famosu mount with the animal crouched, right (don't remember in what museum, though)?

Yeah, it's from the Field Museum in Chicago, apparently. I just raid Wikipedia (mostly - Spino wasn't from there). Skull:
