I do prefer theropods, but there are also loads of cool small ornithopods from the Mesozoic too. Right on Kuni If you have any other suggestions of things I could model I'm all ears. I'd love to build things that people would like to have. I'm gonna get started on the Cerato that Jeb would like to see as well. I worked out the Brachy and got him uploaded. It says he should print fine, but if anyone does order one please let me know of your experience and if you are happy so I can keep tabs on Shapeways and how they are handling my customers. I'm doing my best to keep the prices down (I'm only making a couple bucks off them) so everyone can hopefully enjoy one. www.shapeways.com/shops/3dcreaturesAnyway, thanks everyone. I'll finish tweaking the Para tomorrow and work more on the Coelo and start some others. Right now, its all about a beer and a horror movie ;D Take care guys! Angie

I have a hundred and one potential ideas of what I'd like to see from dinosaurs to any other prehistoric animals as well.On the subject of small ornithopods as kuni suggests, how about something like this one in the Smithsonian,Thescelosaurus neglectus: And of course,I am looking forward to seeing the Ceratosaurus ;D

Hey guys! I have made a short-list of the dinosaurs that I'll make first. Which one(s) do you think i should do first: Styracosaurus, Edmontosaurus, Spinosaurus, Stegoceras, Xiaosaurus, Sauropelta, Huayangosaurus, Haplocanthosaurus or something else (please name).

Still,I'll just have to go with the one I like best,so these pics will give a hint which I would do first if I had the ability:

I love to see people at work on there masterpieces Well, I'm a hadrosaur nut, so I say any duckbill has my vote I sure would love to see the Huayangosaurus though! Keep us updated on your progress! I'm on my way to working on some news ones as well

Cool ;D Thanks for all these pics to. It helps to have a lot of ref. material to work from when its not exactly easy to go out and snap a pic of the dino you want ;D I already have a basic ceratopsid modeled, so I'll have to try and tweak it into the Styraco and some others. Thescelo is a great idea as well! Yeah! This is cool! and with megaraptor building some great dinos we can just make our own figure line of whatever we want! ;D Take care guys! And a Thescelosaurus would be cool. I will second that--a good Thescelosaurus would be great.

Oh, and Troodon would be great for Cretaceous dioramas alongside Thescelosaurus.
Tiny pterosaurs like Dimorphodon are also worth thinking about.
(give us a chance, we'll deluge you guys with submission ideas!)
I do think that the "small prehistoric creature" is the best niche for Shapeways - Angie's 1/50 hadrosaurs are $40, but since price scales exponentially with size, small gracile animals are comparatively cheap (and don't have to have hollow portions inside).

JEB4, Kaiyodo makes a fantastic Saurolophus in their UHA Collect Club series that's about 4 inches long, if I recall. It's a beautiful sculpt.
There are also several Dinosaur King ones, but....well.....yeah....

In that case, then how about this: One that has not been seen as often (so far as I know) Tsintaosaurus spinorhinus ...or one that I have not seen made that I have personally cared for yet,the aforementioned Edmontosaurus annectens, like this one mounted next to the Gorgosaurus libratus that I grew up seeing at the Smithsonian:

Hi Angie, I just saw your beautiful Brachylophosaurus at the Shapes website and will order both sizes tomorrow. This is a very cool and exciting project! I would recommend, however, that you add the word 'dinosaur' somewhere in your title or description, that will make it much easier for people to find in a search. I definitely hope you do a Xiaosaurus or Edmontosaurus, I would also hope for a Dryosaurus, Othnelia or Camptosaurus. Obviously, I'm also a big hadrosaur/hypsilophodon fan, so let's have some more! For theropods, Ornitholestes, Avimimus, even Struthiomimus, yes, and some compys and their ilk are under-represented in model figures. It seems like prices escalate dramatically with figure size, so I might avoid sauropods for the time being, at least till you build up a regular clientele. Best of luck in your future endeavors, I hope you make a few bucks, and I look forward to getting those brachylos!

Oh, compys, of course! Little archeopteryx would be great too!
Tsintaosaurus is a little rarer(possibly because of its phalloid crest), though if you'd like a 2-3 inch Bandai Tsintao, drop me a PM, JEB4.

Timaya already makes a 1/35th archeopteryx, so I think that one is superfluous...

Isn't that one in a big set of other stuff, though? And 1/35 is definitely different than 1/40 or 1/50.

I'll do pretty much anything so fire in your suggestions. I promise to do ALL of your suggestions if they are dinosaurs/pterosaurs/marine reptiles because i will end up doing them all anyway. So for my first three: Styracosaurus, Avimimus and Bellusaurus. Yes, I know someone said not to do sauropods for a while because they are so big but Bellusaurus and also Vulcanodon, Anchisaurus, Ohmdenosaurus and Kotasaurus are small (for a sauropod).

Avimimus sounds cool, as does Bellusaurus. Basically, I think any small dino will generate interest if it lived alongside larger well-known species.
I'll be interested to see a Styraco, but between the Battat, Battat mini, Carnegie, and Kaiyodo there's plenty of that one to go around already. My favorite is the Kaiyodo.
