This is a Safari croc with a new Sculpey head. Purussaurus was about 12 meters long making it among the largest ever crocodilians known. From Puru South America, Miocene 8 MYA. Next up is painting.

Very nice. Question - did you construct a wire frame to place the putty over? Another way to do the mouth would be to carefully cut out the original teeth from the head and insert them into the putty of the new jaw while it is still soft. That has worked for me.
I have the same figure and am going to turn it into a Deinosuchus. Wasn't gonna alter it, but now I learn that Deinosuchus was related to the Alligator and had a wider head than the Salties ....

Thanks all. What I did was make a Sculpey "skull" form first, the upper skull and lower mandible and baked it. Then I added more Sculpey to it. The teeth on Purussaurus are kind of odd, very uniform and evenly spaced so new teeth had to made from Sculpey, no snaggle tooth smile like modern caimans

My wife saw this and wanted to know what I had done to it, so I said "See, I cut off the head of the croc and sculpted a new one, neat, huh?" She said that "now it looked like an alligator so what's the big deal?" "But, but, it's not an alligator, it's a Purussaurus," I said. She replied,"still looks like an alligator to me and any one else who sees it." I was going to point out the differences but decided against it. ;D Bless her heart! Oh, well, maybe I should have converted that Battat Acro to a Rutiodon!!
