You live in NJ too?
I don't know of a single store that sells Procons. AC Moore and Michael's have a few Safaris, and Learning Express has a good selection of Safaris and Schleichs. Never have seen Procon figures being sold in a store.

Where's the papo pachyrhinosaurus?! Neat group. No wild safari pachy? Did you buy all of those procons in stores in new jersey? If so I need to know the names of those stores What I go for is one decent representation of as many different species I can get my hands on as possible. So I really don't have too bad of a desire to get the WS pachycephalosaurus since I already have the Carnegie one which in my opinion is of equal quality. If I one day stumble across it and it has a decent price tag on it, sure I'll nab it but I'm not desperate for it by any means. The papo pachyrhino I actually have every intention of getting when I get the chance. Just the store that I go to hasn't gotten them in yet. The 4 procons there I actually caved and bought online because really noplace near me sells procons (answers your question, Dinolord). The reptile show in White Plains NY I go to sometimes has a booth where a guy sells schleichs and procon figures but they are 1) way overpriced, 2) he's inconsistant and has a poor variety of different products annnnnnd 3) the reptile show is only every other month and I certainly don't even go to every one of those.

Oh finally here's some figures! Griffin, you choose figures to be more or less in scale with each other, don't you? I would like to see your JP collection too.

Ok - one good representation of each species is a good way to go. That way you won't find yourself overrun with one species of dinosaur ;D (like me and my stupid spinosaurs ) I was almost tempted to go to that reptile show, but now that I hear that they're way overpriced it isn't worth it. I think I'll stick to other little toystores! I know NJ is full of them. I was referring to Cordy. I'm from new jersey, but I moved here to Iowa when I was four. I go oak ridge every summer to see friends/family and to go around and do stuff that you can't do here in this waste-of-a-state section of boring praries Try to mapquest "Toy Towne". There are lots of cool dinosaur toys there like primal rage, resaurus poseable dinosuars, and some bullyland figures (I think I snapped up the best of what they had there last year, though ;D )

I was referring to Cordy. I'm from NJ as well. Fox: Yeah I prefer my dinos to be in scale. I know within that group there are exceptions. I'm pretty sure the authentics protoceratops "african pterosur" and velociraptor are a bit too big to be 1:40 for example but really as long as its a rough ballpark range, its good enough for me. I make exceptions for models that I think are really cool as well like the carnegie psittac. The WS tyrannosaurus I consider a Daspletosaurus. Maybe I'll put up JP dinosaurs later if I have the time. "Ok - one good representation of each species is a good way to go. That way you won't find yourself overrun with one species of dinosaur" Totally. Once in a while if I see something that I think is really cool I will get it. This doesn't happen very often with me but I did get the Papo Allosaurus to look cool on my shelf and I plan on getting the papo PAchyrhinosaurus as well.

I'm looking for the Safaris more, but what are these little stores you speak of? Like small non-commercial toy stores that focus on more educational toys more than anything else. They are around if you know to look for them. This is the one I get most of my dinos from www.westwood.learningexpress-toys.com/Trust me people they are def around. ALSO Safaris are sold at craft stores. Those things are in almost every strip mall plaza place I drive by. AC Moore, Michaels whatever. There is always a rack with Safari figures in there.

Terrific collection! Rare treat to see elements of plilatelic, fantasy, and fossils all in the same grouping! Great job on the Krentz figurines! Each looks perfectly credible. You have genuine talent! I would like to echo Sepp's request to see any close-up photo's you may care to post of those tempting-looking fossils! Thanks for letting us share a look at your specimens.

I went to Learning Express and all the craft stores on Saturday. Got the Wings of the World Dodo at AC Moore in Clifton, and the Wild Safari Brachiosaurus and Postosuchus along with the Carnegie Collection Tylosaurus at Learning Express. I've noticed that AC Moore only has the Wild Safari Allosaurus, Suchomimus, Spinosaurus, Pteranodon, Pterosaur, old Brachiosaurus, and Velociraptor. Michael's has even less variety. Unfortunately, most of the Safaris that I am looking for aren't in the aforementioned stores, and the craft stores don't even sell Carnegies.

All stores are different. I never said the craft stores sold carnegies cuz they dont. I have seen the WS tepejara, leptoceratops, the newer more realistic stegosaurus, dunkleosteus and oviraptor nest just to name a few others in AC Moore and/or michaels.
The guy who owns the learning express ordered the carnegie cryo and ichy as well as all the new safaris including the toobs. He is putting aside one of each for me and calling my cell when they come in.
There is a store down in Long Beach Island that I go to when my family vacations down there during the summer. They have a very massive variety of carnegies including many that are not in production anymore.
