Her sculpts of Theropods in particular are inaccurate to the extreme - particularly where the size and width of the legs and feet goes. I wouldn't say they're 'inaccurate to the extreme' - I mean, it's pretty much just the legs. It's not like there are wonky heads and pronated hands all over the place. Still, this is derailing the topic again.

We have gone over this MANY times in various threads. Her sculpts of Theropods in particular are inaccurate to the extreme - particularly where the size and width of the legs and feet goes. This also causes all of their Theropods to be unable to stand up, an unintentional "bonus" of her work. She should stick to sculpting her Pixies (how in He** did she get her job with Safari anyways? ) The sculpting ought to be turned over to Jon Rader, or Shane Foulkes or any of a number of good paleosculptors. Its just a sideline to this lady, and the quality of her work shows it. Why do you dislike the tylosaurus? I already know of your leg fetish

Thanks you Paleoferruequine. Kevin, Griffin8891, Kikimalou, and Ajax for your kind words and support It means a lot considering the work that went into painting this monster ;D As for the rest of yah.... Um, you guys must have missed it when I wrote that the reason I repainted this figure is that I am tired of the same, boring, monotonous color scheme that has been applied to the last Safari figures. I wanted something that is colorful, that is very different from the original paint job. So I have to respectfully disagree with some of your comments regarding my color and design choice. Besides, we have no clue what the real color of the animals are, for all we know they are just drab gray or neon pink. As for being natural, the coloration was inspired by a dragon moray eel, so its not really that far from what we know today. All the colorations that are given these toy figures are based on what the artist envision, so this is what my own artistic vision. You guys have good idea of what you would like your Safari Tylo to look like, so maybe you can paint your figure to reflect that… or not. After all, I am the one that has to see it everyday, and it resided in my collection. In case there are any questions, I do like some of my figures to be "out there" when it come to their coloration… in case you have not noticed it in all my previous repaints. So chill, its my figure that I painted and not any of yours, believe me, your Tylos are safe ;D

I said THEROPODS. Just the same, as soon as I get Malcolm's Mosasaurus, the Safari one goes on ebay. I don't need more than one.

Well, you brought up the theropods in a Tylosaurus thread, I bet that's what made him think you didn't like the Tylo either.

Yep, his response to my post seemed as though he didn't like it! Glad that's cleared up!

I dont think he meant that he hated the tylo. Someone mentioned if Carnegie went on a repainting spree it would be cool to see the tylo done in a scheme similar to Boki's custom. Bucket saw this and mantioned they should go on a resculpting spree instead because of the therapods-something off topic from Boki's tylo.
That's all. Lets not start accusing people where its not necessary.

Who knows, maybe safari will go on a repainting spree sometime soon and repaint it that way ;D Oh yeah cuz you were so clear about what you meant about your other sentence about the shark a few posts up.

It was a response to Tomhet's post about how a shark's coloration would be best!

I know but since it was like three posts up and this thread is after all about Boki's paint job...it wasn't too clear is all.

You are so right! But I do agree with others, boki's paint job does seem eel-like in some ways! The little mosasaur to come out next year would be another good one to paint like this... They'd make a great pair!

I know I'm right. That's why I bother to go over tiny things like that with you.
