I did this awhile ago. I tried to straighten out the neck a bit , not too successfully. I also repositioned the flippers, replaced the teeth and moved the eyes forward. More recently I repainted it.

Nice paint up on that puppy. Not a bad job on that neck - doubt I could have done any better. The thing was just way too snakey in the original.

Wow! That is a huge improvement over the original - excellent job! Very sleek.

I really like the colors you chose. A refresher from the typical black/blue with white underbelly we see all the time.

How did you do the neck while still preserving the shoulder join and muscle detail? It looks good !

How did you do the neck while still preserving the shoulder join and muscle detail? It looks good ! I heated the neck with a hair dryer and put a metal rod in the neck to straighten it. I then made a cut at the top of the neck/shoulder area, pulled the neck down, stuffed the gap with paper towel and soaked it in thick super glue set with accelerator and used Magic Sculpt to rebuild the area. Another major area was the front left flipper which was angled down and had to be cut off and positioned upwards.

This is nice work indeed. I've had this kit for a while now and am inspired to start on it finally. Thanks for the tips.
