Great. But it's not complete without the little birdy. I demand that you model one! ;D
Just joking, looks fantastic.

Thanks guys. I plan to do the rest like this too, except the styrac. I think that one is nice the way it is. Horridus: I actually wish i had a bird to put up there. Maybe If I get skilled enough with clay I can do one in the future lol.

Go to a hobby shop, a lot of times there are tiny little plastic people that you can put by trains (also things like cars, park benches, etc), maybe you could find a tiny pidgeon or something to put on its horn.

It's Pigeon and the fossil record is very poor. No truely primitive forms have been found to date. It is thought that the some remains from the Early Miocene might be related to Pigeons. I don't believe there were any Pigeons in the Mesozoic. Of course there will be those that say, just because there is no evidence doesn't mean, it didn't exist. ;D

Cordy, thats a fantastic idea! I never thought of that. I think at that scale, nobody would know, let alone care that its a modern species of bird. We do know there were small flying birds. It should be enough. Too bad I was just at the hobby shop a few days ago.

What kind of paint did you use t his time? And I agree, the little birdie is a must to complete the look... then you can photograph it in front of your drawing! ;D

It should be enough. Too bad I was just at the hobby shop a few days ago. That's what I was thinking- it'd be too small to tell that it was a modern type of bird. I don't even think smaller details like head shape or anything like that, that would point to it being a modern bird, would even be sculpted or noticeable. I think it would look very cool if you did end up doing that.

Boki, instead of enamels I used this acrylic paint called "golden" or something like that. I had a gift card to PEARL paints so I figured I'd go all out. Its really nice quality paint too. When it dries it doesn't have a chalky feel to it like a lot of other cheaper acryics do and therefore I don't really need to spray a sealer on it (unless I plan on dunking them in the water of something I guess) Here's the repainted Achelousaurus. Same colors, different style. Enjoy.

Nice job on both figures. I can see a big improvement on the pain job compared to your first ones. I really like the T-rex, nicely done, looks like you are starting to play around with blending and dry brushing more. Love the color combo on the Cory

Thanks boki. Glad you like them and thanks for the compliments on my improving!
Yeah I like the dry brushing a lot better for these figures since they have a lot of fine detail. I'll save my enamel paints for my other projects.

I'll save my enamel paints for my other projects. Dry brushing does magic on repainted figures ;D Now, you need to try repainting or painting some bigger figures/kits. I highly suggest the Tamiya kits. They are still around can can be found at a reasonable price. I would love to see you paint these larger models using your sketch designs, I think that would be sooooo cool

At the model store I have they only had a box with the smaller dinos in it meant to accent the bigger kits. I think it had a baby rex, baby para, some raptors, a croc and some pterosaurs. Ill keep an eye out for the bigger ones though. Thanks for the support.
