Ok, so finally got some nice weather to go ut and take pictures of my latest repaints ;D So, h ere they are! Safari 2009 Spinosaurus: Not a big fan of the original paint, but has been intimidated repainting the big guy due to its cost! But, I finally got sick of looking at it so its either I boxed it up or repainted it... I chose to repaint. This guy is the first theropod, big one anyway, that I repainted. I have to say I am very happy with how it turned out, in fact its my best so far ;D It's friend the Giga is still in beauty parlor ;D Closer look at the the body... Head... So, not bad, eh? ;D It's been a fun project, lots of dry brushing And now, here is his friend, BMNH Diplo ;D You all remember how he used to look like, yes? Here they are ready to hit the town! ;D I know, the yellow on the Diplo is more subdued in person, the glare makes it look so much more yellow than it really is. Ig I get a good overcast day, I will try and take another photo it him. Oooppps! I forgot to download the Tamiyas, pterosaurs, and Lambeos! I will have to add them later. For now, hope you like these guys

Boki - It looks 100X better than the original. The head paint absolutely ROCKS - the best I have seen. It just looks more ... substantive ... in this version - did you 'bulk it up' at all using putty - or is it just an illusion created by the superb paint job? ?

Boki, your spino is phenomenal. The turquoise dots, the head, the sail. It looks really nice on the animal. Great work.

That helps my confidence coming from you, the master of customization ;D It's been a fun project. And no, I am not skilled at adding putty of figures. It's just the paint I guess that made it look "fuller", the layers and dry brushing made it look more than the original figure ;D

AWESOME Spino re-paint, the head is perfect and even though the colours are crazy they all work.

Insanely crazy colors on the spino but they work well together ;D
But that diplo eats WAY too much citrus...

The Spino's fantastic of course. I'm going to be nitpicky and say that the claws should be more obvious...but it doesn't exactly ruin the figure or anything. The black streak on the head is very striking, makes it look like more of a vicious predator.
