Ok, so I drew this piece once before, but it went out so fast, I got no prints or copies or pics made, so I am redrawing it to make prints available. So, the sketch is done, and I am inking--stippling, all dots--the first drawing I have done in months and months...

That's a wonderful preview! Congratulations for you Kevin...
I can't understand how you and other artists do this kind of drawing... the dot method seems so simple, but when the work is finished, the result is incredible!
I think you are drawing a stego, isn't?

So, ok, here is the deal. I am not going to have this on a thread where I just want to share my art in peace. SO, I ask that NO ONE repond th Fran's comments on this thread. I have addressed the situation with the moderators, and will let them deal with it.
I am serious now, NO one respond. If you wanna debate her, take it somewhere els. If people do not honor this request then I will not share anylonget and remove the thread.

Why do you like drawing in dots?

A couple of reasons. I used to do line work, and i am good at it, but I got to where I was going too fast. Two problems with this. The first was I was homeless at the time, and drawing and sleeping in the park, so supplies were very limited, and stippling slows me down. SO that was one reason. The other is I do a lot of furry animals...wolves and such, as well as people, and I can achieve a softer effect with stippling. You can get a good effect with line too, but need to do it larger. The larger the image, and smaller the line, the more refined the gradient will be. But I draw at an 11x 17 size, and stippling gets me that softer look easier. Eventually, it just became my style. I have still done linework on largerpieces, and use colored pencils for my Pow Wow dancers. And, I have often done simple line work with Prismacolor markers over it, similar in style to Sepp's work. The only example I currently have though is a drawing I did of the Nautilus...the Disney version. I did it as a still life from the resin model I have of it.
