I got a camera for my birthday. It's about a billion times better than the other camera that the family uses, so I've been trying my hand at making some dioramas. There's a nice patch in the backyard that's basically dirt, so that is what forms the environment of most of these dioramas, as it doesn't look too much like a backyard, and so hopefully these dioramas look more realistic as a result. Well, let's begin! A theropod dinosaur attacks a group of Muttaburrasaurus. Dilong prowls. Jumping forward in time, some heavy-footed moa roam the plains of New Zealand, unaware of the danger coming from the sky. As a result, the giant eagle gets its meal. Diplodocus browses from the treetops.

nice work, make sure you save some for this year's diorama contest! So that's on now? I liked them all! Try to get away from using grass with dinosaurs though, and maybe get a little bit lower to the ground

Nice work! I love the diplo and the dilong the best. I know its tricky trying to take a close up from such a low angle, but next time try focusing on the figure, that way the background will blur a bit but your figure will be nice. I really like the composition of your diplo, it has a very nice flow to it. I hope that you would make more.... Hmmm, now I totally miss doing dioramas, good thing I will be on vacation in a week, perhaps I will pack up a herd for photo op ;D Oh, and if it is true what Adam said about another contest, better save your best for it!

The uni I now go to has a rock garden. One of the rocks is this huge white metamorphic rock. It's big enough to look like a rocky landscape when small figures are arranged on it. Today I did some shooting for the diorama contest. I can't show you it, but I can show you this, because this isn't the picture I plan to enter.

A small reptile, still warming up on a Permian morning, is not fast enough to react to Dimetrodon, whose sail gave it a head-start. nom nom nom

Interesting, your tyco dimetrodon is a darker more bluish green than mine. might jsut be the lighting No, it really is that dark. Either it's a variant or the deco for the Dino-Riders release was darker than the single-release Dimetrodon.

I got mine as a smithsonian toy, not dinoriders. I got mine at a collectibles fair for $1. I suspect it originally came from a Dino-Riders set because the Smithsonian toys were most likely never released down here.

Nice. I keep expecting Bumblebee to leap out of nowhere and start battling in the second one though.

Man i wish i had more dinosaur transformers! I only have dinky terrorsaur. I was never a fan of Airraptor's robot form though. Hate the way the wing goes across the chest like that. Is he supposed to be able to fly as a robot?

You baggin' Terrorsaur? BANISH HIM! j/k I don't have any. Wish I did. Used to have a Besat Wars Neo Bazooka, who transformed into an Ankylosaurus, but I don't anymore.

Don't get me wrong terrorsaur is really cool. he's just dinky. Very small and a breeze to transform.
