Hey! Are you working from skeleton to muscles and now skin, aren't you? That's really great. Do you have a image of the muscles-only? It would be interesting to see that
About the skin I think surely somebody here can help you, I am particularly not sure if a Rex piece of skin has been ever found but since others theropods like Carnotaurus has, I suppose the Rex had some crocodilian skin too with lots of osteoderms and big scales, maybe close to the awesome skin they did for the rexes on Jackson's "KingKong"... But that is only a guess... In terms of skin you can't be too wrong since there's no evidences, so a reptliian skin flap in the throat, or little spines, etc, could have perfectly been possible... At the time there's no evidence at all for feathers on the Rex so maybe the best source for inspiration would be living reptiles and maybe naked parts of birds (vultures, etc).

Skin impressions from big tyrannosaurs indicate scales similar to other large dinosaurs. No evidence so far of crocodilian osteoderms or anything like that. You never know I guess, but it's fine without them.
