BASILISC

So I have been wanting to get into and start collecting the different lines of mythical animals for awhile. Thinking stuff like griffons, dragons, and greek monsters.

Anyways there is a neat lil figure by bullyland its a basilisc

I personally think he looks more like a cockatrice, however he is retired and no longer avaible at TFGtoys. Havent seen one on ebay in a while either. There is one on ebay right now, however its international and sometimes thats messy with shipping.

I wanted to see if the community has any other leads that I should check out, or if anybody has one they would be willing to part with.

Hard to say--that one came out about 4 years ago or so, and has been discontinued about a year now. I am guessing that ebay, or a source in Europe, will be your best avenues.

Personally, I find it garish--I have the Bully, Safari and Schleich ones, and I like the Safari best (maybe it's the glitter on the Schleich?).

Bully is too muted; Schleich is too heavy-looking. The Safari, I think, captures the kind of ephemeral/fancy look you'd expect. But then, it's mythical, so it can look like whatever it wants! ;D
