I have put it in this position because the tail still bends a bit downward. No, it isn't allowed to touch the ground!

You have to be rough with it. Force the tail to bend upward. Don't worry, it won't break!

I'll blame you if he bites me back and makes that crunching sound on my hand when the button is pressed longer. ;D Yes, I should try to bend it more roughly. There is something like a metal wire inside the tail but it seems not strong enough to hold the tail more upward after I curved it... I'm also considering hanging him up by the tip of the tail over night, there are still some bends in the tail that have to go. If only I could get him back out of my son's hands...

By the way - it's a funny coincidence that today Griffin posted his revew of this one www.dinotoyblog.com/2010/05/16/tyrannosaurus-rex-antediluvia-collection/and I made this photo yesterday in the evening: Tyrannosaurus rex. David Krentz The Antediluvia Collection 1:72 model. Length 172 mm (along the curve), height 60 mm. Human figure is 1:72 scale. Jobaria tiguidensis. David Krentz The Antediluvia Collection 1:72 model. Length 190 mm, height 90 mm. Apatosaurus. David Krentz The Antediluvia Collection 1:72 model. Length 312 mm (along the curve), height 68 mm. Human figure is 1:72 scale. Note that the dorsal spikes still show casts of the vents that must have been in the mould.

Just be sure to take your time and make sure they look exactly the way you want them to. I know i went crazy washing off and repainting my rex like three times because i felt my work wasn't doing it justice.

That shop does ship internationally then? Am tempted to buy the X-Plus Alberto from them and the T. rex as and when it becomes available. They're happy to ship internationally if you deal with them direct via their web site as Amazon will not allow them to for some reason

Magnificant collection, Brontodocus. There aren't enough superlatives to give it its due. Nice to become reacquainted with the isopoda again. Thanks for the wonderful treat.

I'm thinking of investigating airbrushing. Kind of daunting but I think the finish will be better than what I can achieve with brushes. By the way Bronto those Krentz Sauropods look great, I'm very tempted. But I think I might try my hand at sculpting first. Thanks for the photos.

I've never remembered to get that figure--it just seems so odd, but it hhas also gotten pretty pricey now, and honestly, I don't need to spend that much on a sea bug.

I have to admit - the krentz apatosaur looks very tempting. But, considering the safari verison is coming out for half the price in a little while, I think I'll get the new acrocanthosaurus and tenontosaurus by krentz instead

The Rex was 35 by itself and considering Acro is roughly the same size its a great deal.

Hi dip, I have an airbrush somewhere here for more than one year now and I always considered trying it on dinosaur models. But I didn't even try it out for one single time, what a shame. I think it would be useful at least for the sauropod figures. I've never remembered to get that figure--it just seems so odd, but it hhas also gotten pretty pricey now, and honestly, I don't need to spend that much on a sea bug. Sadly, it seems romanlo doesn't have it anymore. I bought it in February for $8.00 including international shipping. Honestly these Cirolanidae aren't that odd for an isopod. There are many bizarre bathyal and abyssal species, mainly in the many families of Asellota, that don't resemble what one would expect from an isopod at all. Bathynomus doederleinii has been kept in the Enoshima Aquarium and that's probably the reason why they made it, they also released a figure of "Minazo" the elephant seal they used to keep. And Cordylus: Of course the Krentz Apatosaurus is the most expensive of the line and the new WS Apatosaurus is a very good affordable figure. But I'd really recommend both. The resin material the Krentz figures are made of allows sharp details that are simply not possible in vinyl figures (I guess they took out of the material as much as what is possible in the case of the WS Apatosaurus). The downside is of course that you'll have to trim off the seams (that seems especially much work in the Apatosaurus model), that it is brittle and should be kept safely (I guess the tail would break easily) and that you'd have to paint it if you don't want the puristic ivory look. When I received mine I immediately thought "good that I finally decided to buy one".

Okay, okay, think it's about time for some little update... I painted the Antediluvia Apatosaurus and Jobaria models. The Tyrannosaurus is in progress... JobariaApatosaurusI tried the largest figures first. I also have the Acro and Tenontosaurus - Boy, the latter is so tiny I didn't dare to paint it, yet. Daeodon, "Dinohyus" by Paleocraft. I really like this Entelodont nightmare. Still need to paint the base that came with the model, though.
