I probably was happy too early about my "complete" unpainted Invicta collection. for I now remember there was a poster available with a list. So, same old question: Can anyone of you tell me more about this poster? How to get it? I remember the early basic Invictas were on this poster, not the latest releases such as Baryonyx or Muttaburrasaurus.

There was also a much better second version of the poster including some of the newer additions to the collection, I also have that But they are both at home so I can't take photos just now...I will with time, if I can't find them online first...

It took me ages but I managed to dig out my old Invicta dinosaur posters while I'm back at my parents house for the weekend. I took photos which I'll post here when I get back to Dublin

There's a puzzle out there which features art of all the Invicta dinosaurs in their poses, in a landscape with a waterfall and volcano. I was lucky to find it at a garage sale years back, I'll have to try and dig it out to refresh my memory of exactly what it looks like. Very similar to how Safari Ltd. offers a poster featuring illustrations of all the old Carnegie figures in their poses, with info on each species.

Here they are. My sister held them up for me They both have a list of invicta figures along the bottom next to a time line, the paintings are roughly in stratigraphic order from left to right, with some exceptions. The first one: And the more recent one: Webdragon, is the Invicta puzzle a jigsaw puzzle and if so, is the artwork the same as one of these posters?

Great, thank you! A lot of memories come back. I did not know there was a second, more recent one. Pretty much the same style but with the latest additions such as the Stenonychosaurus. But the Baryonyx and the Lambeosaurus hadn´t been added yet. Does anybody know how and where to find them???

Yeah, the new animals in the second poster are The Ichthyosaurus, Apatosaurus, Stenonychosaurus, Cetiosaurus, Mamenchisaurus and Blue whale (you can just make it out in the background)

I just discovered it! Funny, isn´t it? compared to the normal Invicta scale, the Stenonychosaurus is the biggest one, it´s the same on the poster. Compared to the usual Invicta scale, the Blue Whale is the smallest animal, it´s the same on the poster. Again my question is: Where to get them? Don´t want to wait for ebay offers forever...

Well, I'm keen on mine, I'm a big invicta fan too, so I don't think I'm willing to sell mine. In fact, I can't remember where I actually did get them from in the first place, but it would have been 10 years ago plus.

I have the puzzle too. It's a nice one, from Ravensburger if I recall correctly. It's the same picture as the first poster, but cropped. The left edge cuts off the Megalosaurus, and the right edge cuts off a bunch of the second Mammoth. The small dino pics across the bottom are not included either. Interestingly, the box top crops a little less on the left and right. Looks like Ravensburger no longer sells that one, but they apparently have a new one based on the second poster: www.ravensburger.com/US/The-World-of-the-Dinosaurs__2430009-2430056-2437327-2437398-3274280.html

Would you be willing to digitalize the second panorama poster in high-res format? I recently own the first one, but that second one I have only seen here, and it is nowhere else to be found! It's an amazing piece of art, which I'd like to have a closer look at...

Sure, I'll take some close-up photographs when I have a chance. It's too big for a standard scanner though. It's a wonderful poster!

We have that first Invicta poster hanging up in the rock shop I work at. It's not mine though so I can't offer it to anyone. Totally retro!

Wow, serious bump! I'm happy though, as I used to have the latter 'frieze' poster as a jigsaw when I was a kid, and I never thought I'd see it again. So...yes. It's good to see it again. It's a bit of an odd one, really, with a tail-dragging Megalosaurus and sprawling Scelidosaurus standing directly in front of a Cetiosaurus with a modern posture, and a tail-dragging Apatosaurus sharing space with a Bakker-esque Mamenchisaurus (Bakker-esque in the sense that it appears to have been inspired by his illustration of Barosaurus). Interesting to note too that while Megalosaurus, Scelidosaurus etc. obviously reflect the outdated models they were based on, Tyrannosaurus has an elevated tail. As for the older poster...I still have that. It's now on my wall again for the first time in many years. Funky T. rex alert.

At last I am likely about to get one of the posters I unluckily ignored 20 or so years ago!
