The Beatles were wonderful - true geniuses (is that the correct plural?). I've been loving them since the early 70s when I heard them on the radio as a kid, and of course I have every record they released !

i have Frank's 3 CD-set of Shut Up 'n Play yer Guitar, which is always fun to listen to. Not as much fun as his 'Best of" CD, though, with Valley Girl and Fine Girl, among others. I had a roommate in college who played Joe's Garage all the time "Aber beklecker nicht das Sofa, Sofa"

What do you listen too? Oh, I wrote of some of my favourite Guitarists in the "Our jobs, our lives, our careers" thread - yeah, the guitar is my instrument I won't name them all here - as I wrote there - you all might get bored ;D. One thing that I still continue to say is: Frank Zappa was the most important musician of the 20th century (and to me probably still is). I love every single note he recorded ....... and there are LOTS!!! I saw Dweezil play last year opening for Dream Theater--during DT's set, John Petrucci and Jordan Rudess from Dream Theater solo'd with Dweezil and Steve Vai, it was pretty incredible

Don't worry kids, I won't translate that ;D I saw Dweezil play last year opening for Dream Theater--during DT's set, John Petrucci and Jordan Rudess from Dream Theater solo'd with Dweezil and Steve Vai, it was pretty incredible Steve Vai is a guitar god! He started his career in Frank's band in 1981 at age 20 .

Do you consider Frank Zappa the greatest guitar player? No, but he's a wonderful Guitar player (Radman - listen carefully to "Deathless Horsie" on your Shut up - Album / Only Frank can play like this !) Besides, I wouldn't consider anybody the greatest guitar player. There are a lot of wonderful musicians and they're all different. But as a composer & producer (no, I'm not talking about a best of album) he was groundbreaking and he's been having an enormous influence on almost every serious modern musician - even if he or she doesN't know ;D Do you have the "Butcher Cover"? I'm afraid I don't have the Butcher cover.

Ohhhh -music was my first love and it'll be my last!!!!!!! But of course there's usually more than one love in everybody's life ;D It's more likely that I'm gonna move one day (the CD collection's also growing) - need more space . Hehe, I understand perfectly. I could never banish my books from their shelves to make room for dinosaurs either. ;D Space is a serious difficulty for me, and I've only just begun properly collecting dinosaurs. There isn't even space for books these days (there are stacks and stacks on the floor), or for anything else for that matter. I'm crowded out by my collections.

I couldn't move my books to make room for dinosaurs - as a student, how would people know of my right-on left-wing leanings otherwise?

THE DAWN OF THE DINOSAURS Expo resin figures Frenguellisaurus ischigualastensis & Saurosuchus galilei ..... This is the Frenguellisaurus that came with the Expo book. I'm not sure if it's the same figure that is sold seperately in a box. Does someone know if it's different, maybe smaller? Frenguellisaurus book figure ..... ..... and in comparison with a 1:3 skull replica of the Herrerasaurus ischigualastensis by Ants / InHandMusem ..... Saurosuchus ..... ..... chasing the Safari Scutosaurus ..... I'm absolutely delighted with this one . It's about 1:35 / 1:40, the detail is amazing and the pics don't even do justice to this wonderfully sculpted figure!!

I'm already infected with wanting the Saurosuchus. I think it's the best of the three resin figures.

Helge, looks to me like there are some small diferences in size, pose and color between the book and box figure. Enough to warrant getting both? Can you take a pic like the 2nd one of mine to compare? They're right up snug against each other. I know that the ankles of mine extend out beyond the edge of the base, for one thing.

Radman's box figure looks a little bigger to me. Is the Frenguellisaurus also considered 1/35 - 1/40 scale? Not too familiar with that guy. Where did you guys get both of yours? I am really liking both figures, especially the Saurosuchus!
