Kickass Velociraptor, can't wait to see it colored Just a lil' nitpicking: don't you think the tail feathers, especially the ones closer to the base, are too much big? Maybe i'm a bit conservative on that point, but i like it more when the feathers are THAT big only at the tip of the tail, thus forming a sort of diamond shaped fan reminiscent of the Ramphorynchus ' tail

The tail looks very nice. I love all the huge feathers; in real life it it were charging something with its tail up like that it would look very large! I think some false "eye spots" painted on them would look very sweet.

I got this guy prototyped and am awaiting delivery. I'll make sure to post some pics as soon as I get him. Maybe i'm a bit conservative on that point, but i like it more when the feathers are THAT big only at the tip of the tail, thus forming a sort of diamond shaped fan reminiscent of the Ramphorynchus ' tail Thanks! This was meant to be a particularly flashy male during mating season so I went all out with the plumage. I plan on doing a female down the line that will have more modest plumage and a tail just like you mentioned. The tail looks very nice. I love all the huge feathers; in real life it it were charging something with its tail up like that it would look very large! I think some false "eye spots" painted on them would look very sweet. I like the eyespot idea especially since peacocks were an inspiration for the tail fan.

Oh man! battlebrak - this is probably the most ... oh so BEAUTIFUL Velociraptor figure I've ever seen!!! It's exactly meeting my tastes (Can I say this in English?). I only just discovered your impressing piece of art - shame on me I immediately had to order it - even though you're still checking the "printing" quality. I guess that's true addiction ;D.

I must confess - I also ordered one (the 1/12th version) on Thursday. I just couldn't resist, too.

I had someone attempt to order one on Tuesday and there were wall thickness issues. I had to make several tweaks to the model and reload it. I'm still awaiting mine so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Ouch more wall thickess issues. I've once again mended the mesh (this time shapeways sent a very helpful diagram of where all of the issues are). To all of those that ordered one my apologies. Your orders may be cancelled or you may have to wait a bit longer to get your models. I'm not quite sure how shapeways handles these things.
I'm beginning to think 12th scale might be too small. There's just no way to do the 20th scale without blowing features out of proportion so for now I've removed it.

Yes, I received a note by shapeways that my order has been cancelled due to the wall thickness problem. I hope you can fix it soon. And you know that the size for the material Strong&Flexible is quite limited so you may not be able to go much beyond 1/8 or so.

I really hope this was not too good to be true.

I really hope this was not too good to be true. I'm working on it, but until I'm positive it will print out fine I've made the model unavailable.

Update: I fixed the model yesterday and apparently it is working now. A few folks that ordered one should recieve shipping notices soon. If your order went into production before the model was fixed it should've been cancelled. I'm still holding off on making these available again until I know that these are of decent quality and hold up well. With these materials there is always a chance that models can get damaged in shipping, but I definitely want to make sure these aren't too fragile.

Received shipping notice ;D Will it be o.k. Will it be o.k. Will it ..................................... Lucky you. It may have worked because your order was placed a little later, just in time that it wasn't cancelled. Mine was, they offer a full refund or placing another order for the amount already paid. Now let's hope everything is fine so battlebrak can make it available again because I'll have to place a new order for this one to get it.

It's not sure yet if I'm the lucky one or if I will be the one who's having the replacement stress ;D

Yeah I can't stress enough how sorry I am for all of this mess guys. I've never had an issue having stuff prototyped before. It's just such a delicate model. I figured (foolishly) that if it passed their evaluation software it would work. I got my shipping notice and should recieve the package Friday. If everything is cool I'll make the model available again.
