Well, as we know the CollectA Eotyrannus is pretty dorky looking so I figured nothing to lose. I repositioned the limbs and sectioned the head. It still doesn't look right but short of a completely new head this will do. I will wipe that stupid grin off of his face though >:(Thought I'd show everybody what the raw conversion looks like before epoxy putty is applied. Any suggestions on other things to do? New claws will be made.

Looks like a promising idea. If anybody can do it it would be you, paleo. Are you going to alter the skull at all?

This is a vast improvement, to say the least. The Collecta Eotyrannus kinda reminds me of this Luis Rey illustration. Given how fragmentary Eotyrannus is, this might be a good source of inspiration.

Hi paleoferrequine, that looks very promising already. I've just seen some of your other customization threads, all of your works are great! I already thought about one or another figure I could try - but it looks as if it's not easy! Are the parts just fixed by some epoxy stuff or are there wire rods you put into the parts?

Add a couple of arms and legs and you've got yourself a Mystic from The Dark Crystal.

I hope it works. On a small figure like this, I just use wedges of wood and gap filling superglue. But on a larger one I will use metal pins with the wood.

INVISABEL CELL PHONE I really like it so far, looks like a vast improvement over what it used to be. And fixing the smile shouldn't be so hard if you have a few minutes and an xacto knife

Yah, it should, maybe, but there is very little material from the original specimen . And mangling the skull further , I might as well make a new one. But, maybe I'll see what I can do. Well , it's looking better as I work on it, I made some positional changes on the head and it also looks better. I might be done tomorrow sometime, except for painting.

Interesting, perhaps this is also what inspire the figure? Nice work on modifying that figures, can't wait to wee what the final piece looks.

I can't wait to see the final figure, this looks very promising. I just bought the latest batch of Procons, which are hit or miss, some better than expected, some not so much (makes Borat face while doing hand gesture). Anyway, I got them from dejankins, who had a deal of all 12 figgies for $45, so essentially, buy 11, get one free. That's all dinos for less than $4 each! I was gonna skip the Eo, since it looked awful, but now I'm glad I got it in the bundle, and maybe one of these days I'll try a similar conversion. The figure is actually not so bad when seen in person, and looks downright promising in Paleo's conversion and Rey's picture. I'll post my thoughts on the other Procon/CollectA figures somewhere else, sometime soon. BTW, if you get this same group from Link and Pin, it'll cost you north of $100, so shop carefully, kids.
