That is 100x better than the Safari piece ! ;D Your style and the species of choice..they go so well together ! Reminds me of looking through books of ancient Asian art...like I could easily have run across this in there..of course if I had we could probably re-write history a little.. lol You need take care of those eyes..start working on 8 x 10"s at least...

Thank you so very much, everyone! Nice work! The colors are very nice. This may well be the best illustration of this species out there. Did the Safari figure help? Thank you! The Safari figure may have helped in what not to do, rather. Apart from the over-sized hands and feet, its tail perhaps oughtn't to have sported the little fan of feathers, I think, being a more basal theropod? Having said that though, I actually happen to like the figure all the same. Your style and the species of choice..they go so well together ! Reminds me of looking through books of ancient Asian art...like I could easily have run across this in there..of course if I had we could probably re-write history a little.. lol You need take care of those eyes..start working on 8 x 10"s at least... Someone said a similar thing to me about my Olorotitan: that you could almost believe people went about riding on dinosaurs in the seventeenth century. I'm very touched that people can regard these worlds as believable, so I thank you very much. I'm essentially a miniaturist, most of the time. ;D I might work on larger pieces for myself if and when time allows (and my 'larger', still constitutes a very modest size for most people). For gifts, small pieces feel ideal for me. It also means I actually finish them in a reasonable time too! Great job Niroot. Will have to bring it up on Friday. Will do.

I wonder how long a mural would take you... ;D

I don't think I shall ever finish it. ;D I'll probably have died having completed one-tenth of it. ;D

If Michelangelo can do it so can you bud ! ;D But the pains of doing so might be a bit much..heck I wouldn't do it..lol You do make such believable pieces..the characters feel alive something I strive for myself but you've actually done it. This is why you do at least do one book of your very own...even a sketchbook-type piece would be most welcome I think.

Amazing! I´m speechless.
You really should think of doing a mural depicting some dinosaurs (at least 4 or 5) in their natural habitat ; you seem to have preference for sauropods and feathered/fuzzy ones, so maybe those. It could be...well, which word is more than espectacular?

Michelangelo had a team of studio assistants, Chris K. ;D Arioch, an actual mural would be sadly impossible at the moment. I won't know where to find a wall, to begin with. ;D But as for a painting of a not dissimilar description; I hope for such an opportunity one day. Then perhaps someone may care to have it professionally and digitally enlarged, made into wallpaper, and sell it for me. It might serve as a faux mural for you then. ;D I have several ideas for some larger paintings I would like to do. Finding time for them is another matter though. Sauropods and hadrosaurs are my favourite groups, but I love them all, of course. The ones that have been tackled so far aren't always a result of personal choice. The gift ones are usually the suggestions/ favourites of their recipients. As for a book... Well, it is not impossible that my publishers might let me do something saurian once I've built up a good body of this stuff and they become familiar enough with it. I like the idea of an 'art of/ sketchbook' type book with just plenty of these illustrations too. If nothing else, I might just put all this lot together into a self-published book one day. But patience is what I would beg of anyone who might care for such a thing. ;D

It would also be great to show future prospective clients I would think. It would take time I suppose to sort through everything and decide what should go in..but then your always drawing new stuff too...but that's why it should be called " Volume 1 " ..

Haha. ;D
The time issue is in the drawing and painting itself too; both in producing them and in finding time for them. It's going to be a good while before it could happen, in short. ;D

If I was ever persuaded to try to do a sketchbook myself it wouldn't be too hard..I have tons of stuff from years past filling drawers and pads everywhere. Now deciding if they are worthy would my biggest issue... lol

You may blame Chris K (Blade) for this. Of course, his idea was actually of several Triceratops on tricycles escaping T.rex, but until I manage such a thing, here is what one might call the 'concept art', to use an animation term.

Very beautiful! I hope the saddle isn't also a Triceratops skull . A Proto's would be more ergonomic.

I'd like to see what it would look like if the saddle had a frill on it.
