Not sure if the Quetz is rare..maybe a bit more so since it's retired and all...the thing to remember about the paint jobs is that it's just that....a paint job. That can be easily changed. Lol. I might have to do a bit of paint job on Schleich Apato, if I happen to pick it up (I'm not thrilled with the yellow eye and lip (?) highlighting, on an otherwise nicely done dinosaur). However, what type of paint do most modders use on their sculpts and figures (so that the paint don't chip, or wash away)?

I have quite similar tastes in figures as you do. I always choose detail and sculpt quality over scientific accuracy hahaha. Yes, I'm all about aesthetics!! I am actually a bit forgiving, if the figures lack a few scientific flourishes here and there, mostly since these dinosaurs have already undergone several incremental transformations ("interpretations"), and that science will continues to develop with time.... However, if a dinosaur line does combine the accuracy of WS with the sculpt quality of Papo, I would be thrilled (Although, I have a feeling that WS is probably moving in that direction). Theoretically, it would be rather easy for Papo to move in that direction if they wanted to...

Here you go... Schleich and Papo Para Schleich and Papo trike T-rexs These are old pics, so bit big ;D Hey, you were right about the two Paras! They look so natural together, as if they were male and female counterparts of one another... The Schleich Trike looks inebriated! ( Now, which Paleo-artist rendered the Trike, intox?)

You'll prob change your mind once you see it..it looks very natural..and quite elephantine in detail. I use craft paint you can find at walmart or diff spray paints from hobby stores in lew of a air brush. You can get a clear seal to go over any paint job to help protect it once done.

What about the old Schleich parasaurolophus (GREEN)? Wouldn't it work nicely besides the Papo para? Since they share a similar colour pattern.... (dunno about the size, I don't own that fig)

(dunno about the size, I don't own that fig) There's a Green Schleich Para listing on ebay right about now (although the face is censored or blurred out for some reason or another). I can't really seem to get a good impression of what the model really looks like. However, since Schleich seem to up the quality of most of their models significantly with newer subsequent renditions, I would imagine that their most recent Para sculpt is their finest, and on par with the Papo Para.

Here is the bullyland stego with the Papo, could work... also maybe the CollectA stego The Stego on Right-hand forefront is cool (nice paint job), not sure what model it is... hey, why do 99% of all stego models feature "red" plates-did scientists/paleontologists discover some fossilized red pigment remnants or something to that effect? bokisaurus, I'm not really too big on colorful dinosaurs (unless they happen to be done elegantly, like the DR Quetz v.2, or the DR chasmo), but the dinosaurs in your signature banner look really appealing, all of them except, perhaps, maybe the primitive whale (tylosaur?) located in the right hand corner (the mouth looks way too angular, slightly off-putting)...What line is that? looks amazing!

Yeah, it looks sub-Definitely Dinosaurs quality. That's the Green Schleich Para on ebay, unless there happens to be another (green) one.

I know I'm not boki, but I guess I'll have to do for the time being ;D 1) Front right is the WWD Toyway Stegosaurus 2) the green/orange coloration of all stegosaur figures: dinotoyforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=toys&action=display&thread=19873) The dinosaurs in boki's signature are all custom ones he has painted. The figure on the right is the Carnegie Tylosaurus that has been repainted Hope that helps!

Just to add a little to this; you might like to prime your model prior to painting to help the paint adhere to it too.
