Hi Gang! Anyone else played with creating dioramas using your collection? I have been wanting to do dioramas for a long time so here are some that I did while I was out camping last week. All figures photographed on location. Unfortunately I can only take a few figures with me. When casting the characters, I went with figures that are as close to scale as possible and would also compliment each other. The Diplodocus du jour from Safari is the star in the terrestrial segment. I decided to make the Schleich mosasaur the star of Hell's aquarium after negotiations with WWD Liopleurodon failed (too expensive to risk taking out to the wood!). Hope you all enjoy it and maybe inspire some of you to create and share your own dioramas. I would love to see others. I have a lot more (many involving big Krono) but did not want to post all unless you guys want to see them. Top to bottom: Browsing Diplodocus (Safari) Kronosaur attacks The underwater hunt Lunch! (Procon and Schleich) Fast food! Sunset

These are great - I love the last one but they are all really cool. Nice use of plesiosaurs! I'm definitely interested in seeing more.
Tomhet and I have talked about setting up a dioramas board - I will set that up now and move the existing dioramas there.

Hi Richard, No, the last photo is not from WWD. The figure is on top of a rock in front of the sunset; I took 2 photo and this is the best one since you can't see the rock he is perched on. NO PHOTOSHOP involved this time! If you see the first photo you can really tell it's a toy.

Here is the second installment. All pictures taken while out galavanting in the woods (Alpine lake to be exact, except the marine reptiles segment). Hope you all enjoy the pics...I'm going on vacation soon, so I am evaluating my collection and figuring out what the next installations be all about (can't all be diplo!). Kronosaurus hunting Pteranodon Walking with Diplodocus Don't cry for me Argentina! School of plesios swimming away from the big bad Kronosaur! The never ending battle between predator and prey Three horn lives to see another day No figures were harmed during the filming ;D

Hey Boki, I took the liberty of arranging them a bit, they displayed in a chaotic manner in my screen Hope you don't mind And let me tell you, you are very talented. I particularly loved the Krono/Hydrothero and the Utah/Trike. I hope you keep doing this for a long, long time

Thank you all for your kind words and complements I really had so much fun taking my figure out and taking photos, I have been wanting to do dioramas outdoors for a long time now. The challenge is carrying all the figures while hiking up a very steep, high altitude trail! Not to mention other hikers looking at me and thinking "what an odd man"! So anyway, I am off on vacation down the Oregon coast. So I will be taking more pictures. I think I will do a "regional" theme this trip and maybe some mammals, too. So stay tuned and behave while I'm gone See yah all in a week!
