I really like, how he subtly changed the armor to look more realistic, without changing the overall design.

The only area that needs improvement is the backside of the lasers; They seem too plain, compared too the overall design.

I now that it's nitpicking, but Mr. Romeo's work has a high level of detail; The detail he practices in realistically rendering the dinosaur and armor, and the detail he practices in staying true to the original concept.

This invites to explore the model attentively. Which in turn favours nitpicking.

So in this case nitpicking may be understood as the highest form of praise.

I wonder if models like this could be made then printed out by companies who use ZBrush ? We could have new Dino-Riders pretty soon if someone were willing to attempt it.

I take it you're referring to shapeways? I tried creating models for printing via shapeways about 2 years ago. I still need to replace some laser cannons and the brainbox for my T-Rex. It gets expensive really fast , and cleaning up the model takes time. Which is why I never ordered it.

I have unopened jars of silicone and resin standing around. I wanted to just cast the broken parts. Using this method, I would have a semi-cheap source of new weapons to put on new dinosaurs.

Anyway: I'd settle for someone creating armor that fits existing toys. Like the new Jurassic Park line, or some other existing models - like these -, for example. It's not perfect, but it lowers the hurdle of creating new Dino-Rider's.

True... armor only would be cheaper.

I have these great ideas about Dino-Riders marine units to play with in the water or pool...and dinosaur figures whose eyes glow red when brain boxed...heh heh..I just need a whole new I think..lol

I've thought about naval units as well.

Have you made any sketches of your ideas?

I have..most are unfinished besides the one posted on Dino-Riders.com ...of course that was back when I had a scanner. I have some EPIC ideas but they are just barely sketched out..maybe I can get some cellphone pics of them...one I really liked was a Rulon Parasaurolophus it's semi aquatic and can swim down river and attack Dino-Riders from a different angle using the animals natural habits to their advantage.

I'd be interested in seeing your sketches. So post them already!

That's a faithful recreation of Krulos. No matter how good the rendition is, there is one thing that I dislike: Unlike the cartoon version this one just does not look threatening. It reminds me of Krang (Turtles). I kind of expect him to belch any minute.

I think for a model its fine..to look threatning it just needs Krulos' expressions. At the moment it looks shocked or surprised...heh heh

d**n this is some nice art, imagine a Dino-Rider movie with the effect JP3 gave, with real people and real life Dini's I think this ould not be such of a bad idea at all really, to be honest I always have hoped for a new-gen DR movie to be made, thing was it never came.

I 'dlove to see more DR 3D art, this is really nice stuff, maybe some naval units and idea?

create your own possible units for the Valorian & Rulon navies, this segment was sadly kept out, this could of been possible me thinks.
