Another experiment with greenish cellophane. Lovely dinocarids preying on Wiwaxia. As richard pointed out, perhaps the low quality pic helped a little bit This is perhaps the best underwater effect I've come up with.

well the environment is perfect, that effect really worked out, but the angle is not interesting, the dio is sort of boring, try a better angle, but maybe you were experimenting about the underwater effect (which is excellent!!). Edit: Sorry... I haven't read the rules yet. Now that I think about it, I have cursed all over the forum!!

Richard, I know it's not being used as an insult and that the swearing get 'bleeped', but you're breaking the first part of forum rule 3. Thanks for your understanding

Did anybody else find it boring? I thought the angle was more interesting in this one.

I find the cut-off Wiwaxia at the bottom a but odd - did you do it on purpose? Otherwise I love the composition

The great thing about those Yujin figures is that they are much more durable than Dinotales ones--both because they are not brittle resin, and because a short time in water won't hurt them (trust me on that one). Not htat water should hurt a Dinotale either.

^^^I still wouldn't do it. I'm such a nerd But you're right, it does seem more resilient. It's freaking awesome!

OK, idealized view of two of my favourite pieces, the Kaiyodo Polyptychoceras and the Nipponites over a coral reef. Actually they didn't live in the same era (almost but not quite) so forgive the 'poetic' license The background was more complex than it appears, it took me approx. an hour

The third dio of the acanthostega is the best! It looks like it is swimming in a mangrove swamp

the acanthostega dioramas are blurry and that last dio has great effects, but it needs a bit more action in my opinion

Four new ones I did a week ago or so: The Miguasha estuary with cephalaspids, antiarchs and a young Eusthenopteron: A Brontosaurus crossing a river: A non-prehistoric diorama, a fishing Ibis: Prosauropod near a water fall:

Your dios just keeps on getting better tomhet ;D I love that you went out and did some outdoors, looks very cool! You are a bad influence on me with all of your cool looking fish and amphibian figures! Now I am starting to look for them, too ;D Unfortunately for me, I am having a very hard time finding any Hey, you should do a photo op of all of your prehistoric fish and share... I would really like to see how many are out there ( and to torture myself ;D). You seem to have a few in your collection. Safari really should come up with a prehistoric fish and amphibian toob! Oh, did you receive the sharks from Piltdown? If you have, can you post a picture of them? They really look amazing! I'm glad you got them and not someone else... other than me of course ;D ;D ;D
