The 'worm' from Primeval is the parasite supposedly carried by the dodo. I didn't know the Medicom "Mystery" line was based on real animals, I should have gotten them when udf was still around feebay They aren't really--it just seems like they use an existing animal whenever they can (they also make a Chalicothere and an African Sauropod, for African crypto animals Nandi Bear and Mokele Mbembe). And a giant Kangaroo, for...well, a giant kangaroo (Procoptodon? Sthenurus?). There may be others. And then of course there are a bunch of pointless aliens and mystery things. There are yetis/bigfoots/sasquatches, but I don't know how they would fit in. One thing is for sure--even UDF never had these (I even asked him back when he would reply to questions); that Basilosaurus is hard to find, and I don't recall seeing the Megalodon before. It doesn't help that most of them came out around 1999-2000. The hardest one to find-and I know someone that would pay Battatian prices for it--is a chase figure from the Medicom Series 3 (or maybe 4), It is called "baby loch ness monster" but it is actually a Tully monster figure. I have only seen a photo once.

The most amusing "Mystery Figure" is probably Noah's Ark ;D Our Dr Admin should get one, along with the Loch Ness monsters ;D

Where can you get the Argentavis and who makes it? The Argentavis (referred to as "Thunderbird") was made by Medicom. The picture I included doesn't show it well, but the bird is actually gripping a Native American 'brave' (ah, the Japanese..). The figure I'm showing is actually my second, but I didn't get the base with it unfortunately. The other thing I noticed--on both of them, the ankle of the foot gripping th man is very weak, so that it looks like it might break. Seems like a strange coincidence. If you are interested, let me know; I can let it go fairly cheap since it's incomplete and all.

sbell- It looks like the mystery blue dinosaur is a gorosaurus. It reminds me of some early Godzilla toys. I've thought of that--and I think leopardgeckofan may be close, because I'm assuming he is referring to Gorgo, a British movie monster. It has the scuted plates down its back (hard to see in the photo), reminiscent of most crurotarsans, but uglier than any of them; plus, the side he is lying on is smooth, and his legs are not designed for standing, so I think it is meant to be 'dead' for some reason. Of course, that figure is not why I bought the lot--it was all about a sinking King Kong! ;D I still want to know what that monster/dino thing is though.

There is a godzilla monster called "Gorosaurus". Either that or it is the dinosaur for of godzilla. In the movie, the dino was shot down, so that he looked dead, and he was laying on his side, just like that dino you bought.
