I've seen that Dilophosaurus before. It was in West Edmonton Mall, Canada. You could win it in one of those circus type games (throwing a ball to knock down a stack of bottles, etc). There was also a Brachiosaurus, Triceratops and Velociraptor. Always wanted one as a kid lol. I actually have the velociraptor from this set, my grandmother bought it for me when Jurassic Park first hit theaters - all of the plushes were in a box in either Sears or JC Penny at the mall. I always wanted the dilophosaurus! I'm very happy ^_^ And Takama, sorry, this one is staying with me I don't have it with me at the moments but I estimate it's about 18 inches long. I think there are some on ebay right now, the company that made it is Dakin

^ That trike is lovely (IMHO) despite it's chinasaur status. It would look really nice if it got a repaint. I think I have seen a piece of outdated paleoart that resembles it very strongly... Where'd you buy it? "My First Triceratops"

yes, that's why i bought it. if only it were painted well... i think out of 500 chinasaurs produced, there'd be one that'd be decent enough.

I had a bit of a prehistoric mammal day today. Got the Kaiyodo Smilodon and Schleich Macrauchenia. The Macrauchenia was the last onw in the shop, and IIRC it's getting discontinued, so I figured I should just go and get it since I've been thinking about getting it for years.

Haha sorry, I've been trying to grab one without shelling out $40+ for one for awhile now. My guess is you just got me on the female australopithecus and baby?

Been holding out for a "mint" condition Invicta Brachi to wrap up my Invicta sauropod search, and now I just won it. My Invicta (unpainted) sauropod collection is complete! And by remaining patient, all of them are in mint condition. YAY! ;D

Found this cute thing today at a second hand store, aside from missing the paper tags it's in perfect condition. I'm so happy $3! Isn't it odd how often sauropods end up on top shelves ? Wonder if it's a matter practicality or is there something else..like our first impression of them is looking up at how large they are so we replicate the feeling by putting them up as high we can ? Just something to think about. lol

Well it might partly be a space issue. The top shelf often offers the most space whereas middle shelves are limited by the shelf above and the side panels. And since most sauropods take up a lot of space, they end up on the top shelf? I don't know. Just a thought.

My tallest sauropod is the retired Schleich brachiosaurus, and he sits on the lowest shelf in my vitrine.

Just won a Safari Stegosaurus and a Spinosaurus on ebay. But I´m iritated a little: The seller says they´re 30cm long and 15cm tall each. So, were there bigger versions by Safari, too?
