Yeah, I was a little surprised at how small it was when it arrived, but it makes sense to think of it as a baby. And I love the Schleich Elasmo, it's so sleek looking. Do I dare ask how it got that way....?

I think it was the sun light entering the room that somehow did it. My Spino secretes some invisible (but certainly feelable) oily liquid. My Papo Nile Crocodile has the same thing, and I've heard this is not all that uncommon on Paposaurs (though fortunately the rest of them are still okay). There's something inside them, it's hard to explain. They're talking about it, but it's still not the same. Suggestions as to combat Smellysaur Syndrome?

Er, don't take this wrong, but your dog is a Pomeranian. A Pameranian is an inhabitant of Slobbovia. Now, if he is indeed from Slobbovia, then never mind. Neurse Schivosk!! ;D ;D

Thats my first instinct if one of my dinos is sticky and/or smelly.

Got the Carnegie Deinonychus trio from a second-hand shop for only $5. The figures are a bit warped and the paint job isn't particularly great, but it's still pretty cool. I think this is only the second figure in my collection (the first being from Dinosaur Train) where it's meant to be Deinonychus, as opposed to being labelled as Velociraptor when it's clearly Deinonychus.

Just got the Sideshow Collectibles Apatosaurus. Tail was cracked but fortunately, I've worked on resin kits before and so a little putty work should do the trick. Also acquired Shane Foulkes' Ceratosaurus vs Kentrosaurus. It's such a beaut!

Sorry to hear about the slight damage, but sounds like you're well equipped to repair it. The Foulkes Cerato/Kentro is my collection's centerpiece ;D. It's wonderful, and I think I'm being objective even though it does co-star my favorite dinosaur. I paid Shane a bit more for one from his personal collection that was already built up and painted by Steve Riojas. It's the one on Shane's website. I'd love to see a photo or two of yours when it's build and painted!!

Amongst a few other things with the newest T.rex Centre order frmo Safari--New version Carnegie Tanystropheus, Carnegie Ankylosaurus (I know--how did I go so long without those?). The rest of this year's dragons. A Venomous creatures toob. Some other wildlife--Capybara, rhino. Finally--the new Edmontosaurus! The Carnegie Miragaia: Oh, yeah--the new crocodiles toob! It's a sample one, so there are some odd things--like a 'special thanks' that is left blank (the T.rex Centre is supposed to be there). But pretty cool nonetheless. And no, not a very late April Fool's: Close ups (L-R, CW from top): Pristichampsus, Chasmatosaurus Euparkeria, Dakousaurus, Rutiodon Sarcosuchus, Champsosaurus, Postosuchus Desmatosuchus, Monteltosuchus (sorry about the blurriness here) All in all a very cool set. If I had to pick a not-winner...the Desmatosuchus. It's the biggest of the bunch, but it's face just doesn't feel right. Maybe it's the nose, which should be turned up a little more. But still an awesome assortment of first-timer figures or not-common figures! so which one is Euparkeria?

I'd love to see a photo or two of yours when it's build and painted!! Yeah, the only difficulty I foresee in fixing up the Apato tail is mixing up the right colors, but oh well, with a bit of patience, it should be doable. I'm glad you agree about the Ceratosaurus vs Kentrosaurus kit! For some reason, it doesn't seem to be quite as popular as some of his other resin kits (perhaps due to it being smaller in scale?), which I think is a shame because it is such a beautiful piece. Oooooh, you actually have the one from the website??!!! That things is beautiful. I am a huge fan of Steve Riojas' work. I am currently working on Sean Cooper's Predation Scene and I am using Steve Riojas' T-Rex color pattern (same resin kit). I have every intention of crediting him with the color choices, of course (no worries, everybody). I will probably put up pictures of that kit before the Cerato vs Kentro, but I really can't wait to start building the latter. Here's a pic of Sean Cooper's Predation Scene (painted by Steve Riojas) for those interested: Attachments:

I almost feel like I shouldn't answer, just because the other two are so easily ruled out--Dakousaurus is the marine croc, and Rutiodon is the grey one with a nostril in front of its face, making the brown one the Euparkeria. And wow, talk about dredging up an old post!

I've seen that Dilophosaurus before. It was in West Edmonton Mall, Canada. You could win it in one of those circus type games (throwing a ball to knock down a stack of bottles, etc). There was also a Brachiosaurus, Triceratops and Velociraptor. Always wanted one as a kid lol.
