On holiday for the past week doing museum stuff in the country. Got a lot of things that I didn't expect to find!
One, a large plush Glyptodon. I've wanted a Glyptodon for a while, and this one was a pretty good price for how large it was.
Second, a box of yowies. I was volunteering at a museum and I found said box on a dusty shelf. The manager had no idea what it was, and after I asked if I could have one, she gave me the whole box. It had 13 yowies in it, but only three were ones I was missing. However, they were ones that I'd wanted since the line originally came out: the Marsupial Lion, the Fangaroo, and the holy grail of the whole line, the Queensland Pterosaur. Right now that leaves the Australian Allosaur as the last Series A yowie that I really want.
The box also came with a large poster, a set of stickers featuring the yowies, and a tape. I'm not sure what's on the tape, but I think it's a short film that ran in the exhibition that the yowies are associated with.
Third, a transforming egg Stegosaurus. I had one, but I'm not sure where it is. I decided to get another, but to avoid ending up with two of the same item, I got one of the new painted ones. It's a bit loose, but I still like it, because the Stegosaurus is my favourite design of the lot.

Might have to get the Utahceratops along with the Kosmoceratops now that I know it has the funky face stripes.

The Utahceratops does look nice (finally, a proper Chasmosaurine)---the funky stripe adds to its charm. I see that it has the anatomically accurate flattening of its back, too (similar to the Vaga). I have to pick up that Doli--it's quite wonderful It seems like CollectA has blunted the horns of the Kosmo...

The horn on Kosmo is a bit blunt, but not as much as it looks in this photo (look under the 2012, I posted a pics with all of them, different view.). Most figures that have horns are either blunted or shortened to meet child safety standards. That or they use a more softer material for them.

I ordered a Beipiaosaurus from Amazon Prime via Kites, Tails & Toys, Inc--"new" figure came in with immense battle damage, lots of heavy paint scuff --Beipiaosaurus is missing a finger I thought it was going to be a good deal, it was $5 (50% off), plus I don't even pay shipping.

For some reason the Beipiaosaurus seem to come worn straight from the factory, even when they're still in their factory bags. However, a missing finger is pretty bad.

Was that from ebay? Curious to know how much it went for. It was from Yahoo Japan Auctions. The sale price was 3800 yen (around $55), and I am afraid that the fees and shipping will easily add another 3000yen to that total. Still, I have been looking for it for a long time, so it was worth it to me.

-WS Triceratops -WS Vagaceratops
WS Triceratops is very pretty--the colors are dazzling (peculiar shades of greenish-gold-beige or something?)!--the figure is small, but certainly more elegant than the Papo counterpart. It (The WS version) is the best mass-produced Triceratops in the market, IMO.
WS Vagaceratops is extremely well done- It seems as if a lot of time and care has been put into the model. It also has the distinction of being the only Vagaceratops in the market! I'm very pleased with this model.
I've probably said this a thousand times, but Papo and WS should continue releasing all varieties of ceratopsians! I'm also looking forward to the CollectA Utahceratops. I'm a bit on the fence with the Kosmoceratops, though---I might have to repaint the horns!

A bunch of new additions! Gorgosaurus and Leptoceratops thanks to Takama and the feathered toob I won off eBay. Schleich Edmontosaurus, Favorite Ankylosaurus, Carnegie Beipiaosaurus and Safari Dilophosaurus all from Pawnosuchus. Does anyone know how I can reattach a broken figure to the Dilophosaurus? Would crazy glue work? My first Kaiyodo, the Camarasaurus. Beautiful little figure, I foresee a great relationship between myself and Kaiyodo.
