The Bullyland pictures don't show up for me for some reason, but I don't really care about Bullyland. xD
And I'm SOOOOO excited for the Papo Ankylosaurus. That was one of my predictions for 2011! I really hope that it's based off of the JP3 Anky. Considering the fact that Papo's 2010 lineup had the JP3 Velociraptor, odds are is that this will be based off of JP3.

A Papo Ankylosaurus does sound great...I can almost guarantee I'll be getting it without even seeing it. Bully's new stuff looks like Collecta's old stuff...that's not an improvement at all. I kind of like the Dimetrodon for it's retro feel...but the sail looks too short. I'm wanting that Ankylosaurus too. About that sail, there are over a dozen species of Dimetrodon and different sail shapes and sizes.

Here is the first picture of the Papo Ankylosaurus I could get my hands on: This is the Kinto Favorite one, isn't ? I found it looking on google too. Was on a online shop as Papo Ankylo, but it's the Favorite one.

So, Bullyland is not out of the race (yet). Can't say for certain though because instead of pictures I just see red X's.
As for the Papo Ankylo, well haven't seen it yet (Ikessauro & Amanda are right, that's the Kinto one above) but it should be cool.

ikessauroNow you mention it, the Ankylosaurus really look very similar to the Favorite one. Maybe I was to eager to post the first picture of the Papo Ankylosaurus. :-(

I expect the Papo to look like a downscaled interpretation of the Foulkes Ankylosaurus resin kit.

Wasn't schleich supposed to have a griffin coming out? somebody told me that. I linked to the 2011 Schleich page. If you don't see one there, then no. In fact, they are going almost entirely with their Bayala (mythical fairy world stuff) and farm stuff--it's an attempt to actively court the boys playing market. Schleich has pretty much decided that collectors are not a large enough market to consider. After collectors had pretty much decided that Schleich figures are not accurate enough to consider. You think that they would listen to the public. Then again, Battat discontinued their line that collectors raved over for probably the same reason ... I think we can now definitively write off Bullyland for 2011. Just as well. My dino collection is gonna practically double this year between the new Carnegie/WS/Collecta/Papo figures!

That Kinto is quite nice in person. Quite nice indeed. And, a relatively correct rendition of an euop. But, if you can find it, I HIGHLY recommend it.
Maybe, after the reception of their last few tries, Schl..ick just decided to hell with it. If kids aint buying them, and collectors are laughing at them, what's the point? At least they just stopped the pain. Bully seems to have almost intentionally put out rubbish this year. Just really sad.....I **really** had hopes on the dilopho, and we get....THIS?

Yes, that is actually the Kinto Favorite vinyl Ankylosaurus figure: The site you found lists many of their dinosaurs as "Papo", even though they're not.

Bully needs to step up..if they can't then I'm fine writing them off. Remember this same tune from last year regarding Collecta/ Procon ? They improved and we responded.

But they are kind of small. Papo better impress me with something that's not posed in a totally contorted position, nice colors and accuracy. I bet they're gonna give us an Ankylosaurus posed biting its tail, and super long, muscular legs.

Nag, but I could see a reversion to a retro style tail dragger with big spikes around it's middle....we'll see. It will be a turning point for me. JP style ankylo, or a total break into new territory once and for all. I remain um, skeptical, but hopeful. A very odd sensation....

Glad to hear about the new Papo Ankly, although I'm absolutely sure it will be retro. Their artist's sculpting and painting style would lend itself better to something like this: As opposed to this: Either way, I just hope they don't do a JP version.

They remind me of ice cream sherbet I would actually love to see a contorted Ankylosaurus--Is that even possible? lol . An Ankylosaurus biting its tail club would look so wrong!-but thanks for the suggestion

Papo's Styracosaurus is as dynamic as it gets...and the Allosaurus also had a relatively progressive posture...And lately, Papo's been looking at Sideshow for inspiration....

Yes, some sauropods had spikes at the end of its tail, for example Shunosaurus or the recently discovered Spinophorosaurus nigerensis. Spinophorosaurus will be available as as a toy very soon. It's produced by Bullyland commissened by the Museum Braunschweig. Here are some pictures: RED FLAG. You guys should have known that it was over for Bullyland after this atrocity (Spinophorosaurus) was announced!
