Alright, since the 2010 figures thread went over so well I figured I'd make one for next year too. Great thread Theri! Hopefully we'll have some pictures in several weeks or months. I'm also interested in seeing what the other companies have to offer.

Thanks! Last year I don't think we got pictures/information until November/December (if I recall), so not much longer

Based on mighty's estimate, I calculate the Carnotaurus will also be 1:30, so at least this year's Carnegies will display together nicely.

Except for the fact that Miragaia is from the Jurassic of Portugal, and Carnotaurus is from the Cretaceous of Patagonia ;D

You'd hate my display, I've got a swan and a Stegosaurus sat next to each other...

Oh no, I'm just as bad (Palorchestes and Dilophosaurus together), I just mean the 2 of them alone together would be sort of incongruous.

Great choices so far this year! One question: why is there no Kaprosuchus in the croc toob when there is one in their Wild Safari line?

Why is Desmatosuchus in there at all? (Mind you, why were Tyrannosaurs, Chasmosaurus etc. in the feathered dino toob? Who can tell?)

Why is Desmatosuchus in there at all? (Mind you, why were Tyrannosaurs, Chasmosaurus etc. in the feathered dino toob? Who can tell?) It's a crurotarsan, same as the rauisuchians, phytosaurs and crocodiles, so it is in fact relevant to the toob systematically. Plus, it looks nice and different. A better question would be why a Champsosaurus is in there--and it is because it is a great figure for convergence; also, I wanted to see one made.

Great choices so far this year! One question: why is there no Kaprosuchus in the croc toob when there is one in their Wild Safari line? The toob was decided before Kapro was announced; as soon as Kapro was announced I mentioned it to Ramona who, I think, wanted to see it as a full size figure.

I'd like to see all of them as full sized figures... Will the postosuchus be a mini version of the one already out? Will the desmatosuchus be to scale with the WS posto?

I'd like to see all of them as full sized figures... Will the postosuchus be a mini version of the one already out? Will the desmatosuchus be to scale with the WS posto? The Postosuchus is completely different. And as for size--they're toob figures. They are, at largest, 4" long. Since Desmatosuchus was about 16' long, there is no way it could be to scale (Postosuchus being about the same length).

Sorry, meant to say the toob posto. Had the WS one on my mind for some reason

Sorry, meant to say the toob posto. Had the WS one on my mind for some reason That one is hard to say. They don't give individual specs on the toob figures, and the photos I have aren't clear if the figures were shopped together, or grouped for a photo (I do know that the catalogue does not include 1 of the 10. But I have seen the Rutiodon, and he is good). But they appear to be about right; with the Dessie a little larger (which is generally correct).

I think Dan has some in his new avatar and signature ..... if these are indeed the new Safari Guanlong and Miragaia I'm gonna fall on my knees, praying and I'll be the founder of a new church - the Safari church ;D

But the Miragaia signature seems to be a digital drawing, apparently: felipe-elias.deviantart.com/art/Miragaia-longicollum-127297512

Yes - that was obvious, also with the Guanlong - this one wouldn't be able to stand on his feet without a base.
