Yeah, guess it's turning into a theme of sorts... I'm trying to move away from the typical mammal browns and, as I've never been able to do any yellow-based color and greens and reds still seem a little bright, that pretty much leaves white and black. There's a reddish one on the way, though.

Finally got started on my Favorite Allo (it's so much easier when you don't have a plan). I sort of like the white over black pattern, but what do you think - should I add some stark black areas? On the head maybe? Wow...words do not describe how insanely awesome that allosaur is! ;D

I second the suggestion to darken the side patches...that will make this repaint truly awesome!!

Me too, great paint work. You seem to like your theropods look icy cold. And cool they are!

On the head maybe? Love it! I like how you did the transitions. I like the head as it is, maybe just darken the black just a bit? Also, if I may offer suggestion, maybe add a little patterns on the tail base and neck area? Great job on this one, now you inspire me to look for a duplicate of this figure so I can repaint it

Is that..? Could it be? I've painted a Hadrosaur? It's not that I have anything against them, and in fact I quite enjoy drawing herbivores, but still I keep telling myself I don't collect them. But I've had this Dinoking Saurolophus for the better part of a year, and he's growing on me... And really, once you get rid of the blue and yellow original color, it's not such a bad little model. This time I opted for an antelope-style color, with stripes on the neck and tail for camouflage - very plain, but reasonably plausible I think?

It's gorgeous. I've been wanting to try an antelope-type colour on a hadrosaur too. ;D

I've had some difficulty with images loading in this forum recently, but I've kept trying here and wow - that Allosaurus didn't disappoint. REALLY well done.
Nice hadrosaur too! It's managed to load now.

It isn't just the images, sometimes an entire page fails to load altogether for me. ;D

Wow, I did not even recognize it as a sega figure! Great job on the repaint, love the antelope (Kudu?) inspired colors.

Shock horror, it's another hadrosaur! Tried to go for a plausible color scheme - it seems the Dino Gods have decreed that Maiasaura are always brown, and the countershading just felt like a neccessity (too much mammal watching will do that to you). The different-colored striped tail apparently is a fairly well-established scientific/artistic convention, something I didn't realize when I painted the Saurolophus, but it does make sense from a camouflage point of view.

And it's back to the fluffies! ...oh come on, do you have to do that when I'm taking the picture? Sit up straight, dammit! ;D The old bald toob raptor is altogether too adorable... There's just no way to make one look even a little menacing, so instead I keep putting them in these atypical poses. Color influenced by this gorgeous little kingfisher and a badger. This one I was originally going to keep in its original form - complete with scales and harness - but after I assembled it I changed my mind, which is why the hands haven't been repositioned. Coloration is more or less based on a Luis Rey Utahraptor. This model looks like an bigger animal proportionally than the rest of my raptors, so I'm just going to go ahead and call this the Warhammer Utahraptor from now on.
