im a lurker on this site to be honest, favorite part of the forum is this art section though, many talented people thought id share a commissioned piece i did for someone before i mail it out. no bells and whistles, just 2 carnotaurus eating people. this will be the first of a small line of indian ink/acrylic works i will be doing, more to come...need to get fountain pen set back, this one had to be done by brush so the lines arent nearly as clean or refined as i would have liked... next peice will be a rex getting into similar mischief hope it isnt too graphic ~m

Thats scientifically inaccurate. Carnotaurus and humans didn't coexist according to the fossil record. In all seriousness though very cool. It reminds me of those DINOSAURS ATTACK! cards.

Those children thought they were going to enjoy some ice cream, and they got ripped apart.
Great work!

In all seriousness though very cool. It reminds me of those DINOSAURS ATTACK! cards. I agree. It'd have some cheesy title like "JUST DESSERTS!" Actually that's probably too subtle.

Mitch - have you ever read Mark Schultz's classic comic "Xenozoic Tales"? (Brought to TV as "Cadillacs and Dinosaurs")
Your drawings look a lot like Schultz's work for Xenozoic Tales. He also drew dinos dimembering characters in his books (bad guys usually.
You might want to pick up a softcover complete edition of Xenozoic Tales. Its not too expensive ....

What kind of sick f**k would commission this kind of art? Hannibal Lector?? Hahaha!! ;D Really nice style and control, especially after learning you used a brush. I was convinced it was pen & ink!

HAHA! Nice work man. I like what you're doing with the concepts here and the dinos look pretty nice. I hope you post more of these.

I forgot to mention this earlier, but I really like your strong tonal contrasts, not unlike in the comic book tradition.

thanks everyone took clearer pics of the spino. may do another spino one in the future, not 100% liking this one for whatever reason got the rex picture sketched out, going to start to ink it maybe later today or tomorrow, have been sick so havnt felt like doing much of anything! MC, these were done with the smallest brush i have, kinda getting the hang of it, the carno pic was a little more sloppy as far as lines go, but i think im getting how to make the ink and brush to work. wish i had my pen set though! let a friend barrow it and havnt seen it since

new project im working on... these will all end up inside glass gasketed scientific display jars filled with amber-ish colored water here's a test run sculpt in progress...fetal tyrannosaur! i plan on doing a raptor, spinosaurus, and a few other odds and ends dinos (as well as a few cryptids). going to resculpt this using a different medium, this brown sculpey is waaaayyyy to soft and is proving to be a pain to work with. i also dont like the lines of the head...not looking rex enough! ill update as i go
