Apologies for the shamelessly stolen title! ;D More proof that the less I plan, the better the result... I have customs that have been "in progress" for months, and then I slap something like this together in an hour. I started out with the non-feathered toob Velociraptor - a chunky little model in an awkward pose - and really hadn't even visualized a pose before I cut the legs off. The result is partly due to my being too lazy to put together a partial armature, and partly... well, there aren't too many resting (/nesting?) raptor models around. I know the fingers aren't very good - I can't even sculpt hooves, never mind teeny-tiny claws!

Very cool! Nothing wrong with a resting Velociraptor and I really like the colour scheme. Nice work on the eye too.

I've found a recipe for eyes that on the whole works pretty well, though getting the pupils the same size and properly aligned is ridiculously hard... Even though I chose this pose because it was easy to sculpt, I do like models that aren't just standing there - or worse still, standing there roaring. Would love to see the big companies release some non-standard poses (more scratching/grooming models, please!) but I guess that isn't really what people think of as "proper" dino behavior.

Trying to stick to a plan can be very frustrating ;D I do look at pics for pattern ideas. Yes, let your creativity and originality run free! So whats your next project?

Wow, you REALLY improved it. I assumed you based this on a feathered model, not on an outdated baldy one.

Mkay, Fluffy #2 coming up! Featuring my (slightly terrifying) first ever attempt at sculpting legs... ... and it's white. Gee, what a shocker.

Not terrifying in the least; quite the opposite. And I love its colour scheme.
