My Pets......in the Age of the Dinosaurs

Here are some pics of my animals....from Triassic to Cretaceous. Please note that I was in a rush and don't have good pics of my fish...also its very messy because of i'm rearranging my animals and dinosaurs

The early Triassic period.....the seas are rich with life.....and on land only small reptiles can be seen..as well as small dinosaurs

Why this camera shows the tank so dirty i don't know, but in no way is it this unclean on the glass...has anyone experienced this while taking aquarium shots? Friggen annoying....

My Eels....timid guys When I came up with the camera they jolted and knocked over their sunken ships D: sorry rms titanic

Late Triassic....larger dinosaurs are beginning to appear.....

A mother dilophosaurus protects her young from a ceolophysis

Late Jurassic......the prime of the Mesozoic

A ceratosaurus and Allosaurus surprisingly team up to take down a large stegosaurus..



My small bearded dragon....S'mores...






The early Cretaceous....animals...are becoming increasingly larger....

Two Spinosaurs fight off a hungry Carchardontosaurus..


My Blue-Tongued Skink...


He suddenly attacks one of the spinosaurs..


He's hungry...


And begins eating the remains....(Did all this by accident...I didn't knock over that Spinosaurus!


Late Cretaceous....Life...at its largest....

A nearly fully grown Tyrannosaurus threatens two Triceratops..


What creture is this coming out of the blue? (My older Bearded Dragon..Mango)


She attacks the Rex....


My fish.....and newts were rushed...so the photos are terrible....only 2/3 of my newts are pictured..and like 5 out of 15 of my fish are pictured.....Sorry this whole thing was rushed...and still is

Cool stuff! Why does it not surprise me in the least, other herp keepers who also love dinosaurs Lovely Beardies, especially Mango - My "Puff" kind of looks like her. Those eels are very neat as well.

Seeing it in photos, I need to find somewhere local that has that new safari tri-tops!

As for cleaning glass, I have no idea. I just know acrylic cages and doors are even worse. They get claw scratches over time, and that really spoils the look. Granted, they are pretty much all I use for snakes/lizards because they can be hosed down and completely disinfected. We only use aquariums for a few of our turtles. We use Vision and pre fab reptile cages for the snakes and lizards. I love stock tanks and think they are one of the most useful things in the world.

I have way to many critters in my care to make posts about them all, but I can post a few. We do educational programs/outreach and teach with animals, along with some reptile placement/fostering and being a falconer, I train and breed some species of reptiles and birds, so it literally is a zoo here.


Brahm, the White-nape Raven.


Zibby, a Golden Cherry Lovebird that I handfed from day 2 when her parents would not.


Here she is all grown up.


Goucho, the Argentine Boa.


Sahara, one of our Sulcata Tortoises.


Sherpa, one of my favorite parrots. He is a Lord Derbys Parrot from China/Tibet, and has gotten alot more colorful then he was in this shot now that he is an adult. He can talk like you would not believe. My favorite things he says ? "My name is Sherpa, and I'm from Tibet", "I'm related to a T-rex" "I can talk, can you fly ?" "I'm a dinosaur"


And the last one for now is 2 of our young concentric Diamondbacks, Chessy and Nantucket.

Aww what adorable animals!!! I love the Mango owning that Tyrannosaurus.

As for Sherpa, the bird, can it really say such things?! We must hear this! I mean...how often can you get a bird to admit it is a dinosaur?

Yes, he can. Instead of teaching him the usual "hello want a cracker" and singing silly songs, I thought it would be much more fun to teach him those other things :-)


His female companion, Raja the Alexandrine, is starting to pick up on his wonderfull vocal skills as well.


I will have to try to get him on talking on my video/camera.
