Also I would get some invictas but I wish they were painted not the colors of the rainbow! ;D Get some Invictas, they're great! And get the unpainted ones! A lot of them are very 'retro' now of course but I think that adds to the charm.

I think I've fixed my Thrasher problem. I stuck a little Blu-Tack (yes, it's all I have available) between one of the legs and the main body, based on what Cordylus said about elastic bands, and wedged the good old Eocene fish fossil (Knightia with an impression of Diplomystus) under one set of toes so the heel is flat on the ground on both feet. It now stands in a slightly rearing position with the tail well clear of the ground. Hope it doesn't come crashing down again...

A kinto favorite t-rex (my favorite trex now-- The carnegie and WS ones are going!), two little china plesiosaurs, and a spanish microceratops! Kinto favorite is really the best trex. It has all the detail of the papo one, but it stands on two feet and is accurate! Woo! But the bad thing is is that now I want all the other kintos, and they aren't exactly cheap

^^^ I highly doubt it, the ceratopsians and the pachy are awful.

Mark my words, Kinto will be the new Battat. Ummm ... don't think so. For one thing they are likely to sell a GAJILLION more figures than Battat ever did; secondly the figures are smaller; lastly, some of them have some problems - ie lack of the personality that the Battats have. Kintos are all in basically docile poses. Battats are mostly in fluid positions, giving them a sense of motion.

The paint job is much more realistic than the battat, it has a nice posture, and more detail. And it stands on it's two feet, awesome ;D Smaller means they take up less space! And I'm sure thee was a wide variation in sizes of the critters, so you could always say something 1/50 is 1/40 Next up, the kinto allosaurus and plesiosaurus... Maybe the sauropods but with online shipping they're like 30 bucks and they aren't that big, so I'll hold off on those for a while

I highly recommend the Kinto allo. And the plesio. And the sauropods, though, for that, I'd say save a little more and get the desktops. They can be had for around 60, and are 1/50. They are also VERY detailed and beautiful.the kinto pachy is not TOO terrible, but like all toy lines, there are winners, then there are the others....
I had thought I was getting a microceratops....maybe he forgot?

Yeah, the Kinto ceratopsians are ugly, but so were certain Battats, like the Stegosaurus with a wacky 8 tail spikes (early 20th century ideas anyone?). A contest between the two is completely pointless of course. But flame w...uh, slightly daft arguments can be fun sometimes.

After years of searching, I finally got the coveted "girl thingycat Swallowtail" of my Kaiyodo Dinotales collection, the white allosaurus: Bonus retro-karma to those who get the reference without having to look it up! PS: After posting, apparently the auto-editor changed my original P***ycat to girl thingycat. Good grief!
