Kaiyodo Dinotales Maiasaura hatchling. I love the fact that they've even given it a little egg tooth. So inspired. Dinotales Axelrodichthys. So gorgeous. And several non-prehistorics. Kaiyodo/Furuta 'Kurll' seal, according to the listing. I imagine it's a ringed seal of some kind. Kaiyodo/Furuta Pacific white-sided dolphin. And this exquisite Takara Tomy A.R.T.S Spotty bobtail squid, Sepiola parva.

That's the Favorite Co. one (ie. the same people that made the Oranginosaurus beneath it). It looks bloody nice, but you need to have earnt a mint working at the Carnegie Museum to afford it. Don't hate on mighty because HE was the one who got the job there! ;D That's one of the few (probably only) skeletons I'd ever get. They did a really good job on it, why couldn't they have done the same for the orangosaurus

I love the fact that they've even given it a little egg tooth. So inspired. I've had that toy for four or five years now and I never noticed the egg tooth until you just pointed it out. And it's that power of observation that's given me as much success in paleontology as I've had in my life (read: none).

Kaiyodo/Furuta 'Kurll' seal, according to the listing. I imagine it's a ringed seal of some kind. Hi himmapaan, that's the Animatales 4 figure No. 106 isn't it? If so (you might find the number 106 underneath if you didn't get it with a label), then it's meant to be the Common or Harbor Seal, Phoca vitulina. It has a holarctic distribution and one subspecies, P. v. stejnegeri also occurs around Japan and the Kuril Islands, hence the name which was obviously mistyped either by the seller or the manufacturer. So you have a figure that is more or less representing a species that's also native to the UK.

I did wonder whether it could be a harbour seal too, but with nothing else to go on, I made a wild guess that it might have been Pusa hispida ochotensis, a ringed seal subspecies also found along the Japanese Pacific coast -- and, it's just now occurred to me, now you've pointed that out, possibly on the Kuril Islands too? I love the fact that they've even given it a little egg tooth. So inspired. I've had that toy for four or five years now and I never noticed the egg tooth until you just pointed it out. Much as my observation may have been hugely beneficial to me as an artist (for which I'm extremely grateful), it has given me absolutely no success at all in life either. ;D

I finally received my Shadowbox Loch Ness Monster! It looks like an older Carnegie. Where did you buy that? Ebay - super fair price, the Loch Ness, Yeti, and Grey Alien for 10.50 (for the lot) Years ago I sold my loose Loch Ness for 50 bucks and always regretted letting it go, so it's nice to have him back.

Got a Papo Mammoth today... It is very cool, but i'm kinda frustrated because I ordered it online in a brazilian online shop. In the site the picture was showing the old Papo mammoth and I got the new one. I hate those non dino expert ruled sites! At least I have a really nice new mammoth for my herd and I am a little closer of completing the Papo collection. BTW, is the old Papo mammoth hard to find now? I didn't search it yet in international online stores, because I need to get my credit card and finally activate my paypal account.

Thanks, sepp! And I really like Radman's ex-avatar the white Allosaurus. Maybe my favourite Dinotales colour scheme so far. Yikes! ;D

Oh, wonderful! And you have both the Siamotyrannus versions! *Envious* ;D There are actually 4 different colours--a greenish one and a brownish one as well (I have the blue and brown). So now I know who pushed that yellow Siamo up so much...
