Well, only just paid for them, so it will be a while before I physically acquire them, but just purchased: Agatsuma set (not sure the actual theme--something to do with strange creatures) And finally, complete Epoch Living fossil set: Thanks overpriced Japan Auction service! I only curse that my bad time math meant I missed a Kaiyodo Szechuanasaurus and Cheinjanasaurus for a ridiculously low price.

*weeps the bitter tears of burning envy* I know that feeling, since I also lost another lot of 30 Kaiyodosaurs at the same time... oh well, such is life, ya get som', ya lose som'... and I just did both. I know the feeling no more. The seller came back to me with a second chance BIN auction and I bought the other 30 as well. So that's sixty Kaiyodosaurs to look forward to! ;D I so hope the seller is for real... fortunately they weren't too expensive considering.

Got the Mojo mosasaur. It's got no nose! How does it smell? A little fishy.

Cool looking collections. In the Agatsuma set, isn't the curled snake a Japanese cryptid? Love the water bear.

It seems to show up in every Japanese set somewhere--you'd think they couldn't come up with just one more real critter instead. But the rest of the set is worth it!

I was pretty stoked to come across it--even happier that the same seller had the Epoch set as well (and both were very reasonable in price, although the end costs will be...appreciably higher).

Those are all really beautiful, Sean! I'm not familiar with either set. I assume they're Japanese (at least they look like their meticulous style). Dr. Adam -- no nose on the Mojo Mosa?! How odd! What's your general opinion of the rest of him?

What's your general opinion of the rest of him? They are indeed Japanese--who else would make a tardigrade and a tunicate? The Epoch set is one I've known about for awhile--I already have a few of them, but I've really wanted the salamander and frilled shark (I've lost count of how many of those I have now!). So it will be my first complete set of them. Although, to be honest, I'm not really a completist, however, the Agutsama set is just overall so weird I had to get it all (of course, that's pretty much the only I've seen it). And it was cheaper to get the Epoch set this way than to hunt down the individual pieces. But only because the auction itself wasn't too expensive.

Will definitely look forward to it, Adam! By the pics alone, he does look a bit better than the CollectA fig.

Oh man, that sucks! I assume you can't just trade it in for a new one? Partial refund maybe?

Yeah I would definitely bring that up. You paid a lot of money for that statue and a broken tail effects the value and later investment. You didn't pay for damaged goods. Get a refund or replacement.

I've actually requested a replacement, but every unit that came in the country had a certain degree of damage (confirmed by the retailers here), and it would take another 3~6+ months to receive one from the States and I need to shed out extra fee to receive the replacement when it arrives in the customs office. And even if I do get one from the States, there is no guarantee that it would arrive in pristine condition ... so I'm kind of in a dilemma.... But our local retailer told me that in case I do keep the statue, he would offer me a huge discount for the next Dinosauria piece (Stegosaurus maquette, which is the most expensive piece so far from the line).
