I happen to really love dinosaurs & recently acquired a glass case that I hope to hold dinosaur figures inside of. There are three levels of this glass case & I plan to fill it up with Dinosaurs.
So here is my Question. And I will take your responses seriously. What would be your list of dinosaurs that you would fill this shelf? I am quite new to this and would consider any & all of your suggestions.
I would say 12 dinosaurs at the maximum.
Thank you for any help you provide me.

Welcome! Depends how big the case is and how much money your are willing to spend I am thinking about having the Papo Collection in it. The display case is about this size, www.brownmarketing.com.au/displays_&_packaging/page_1/Glass%20display%20case-3.JPGI am not wanting to fill it with bronze sculptures or anything of that nature, but rather museum quality dinos such as the Papo Collection. If there are any recommendations I would appreciate it. I am aiming for both simplicity & diversity. thanks for your help in advance

To me part of the fun would be to find out what YOU like and why (reading in this forum will help with that). Always buy things YOU like and enjoy - it's a waste if you don't.

If I had a Display case with 3 shelves I'd put my 3 favorite dinosaurs in them. Top shelf- Best Tyrannosaurs I have....2nd-Best Allosaurs....3rd-Ceratosaur figures......But its up to you...you should have fun stocking it with your favorites

The Papos, from Carnegie the Giganotosaurus, the Amargosaurus, the Ankylosaurus, the Diplodocus and the Saltasaurus; from Safari the Dunkleosteus, the mammals, the new Stegosaurus, the new Triceratops, the new Allosaurus; from Bullyland the Batrachotomus, the Arizinosaurus, the Allosaurus and the Stegosaurus; from Schleich the Shonisaurus (retired, my favourite Schleich ever), the Kronosaurus (also retired but you still can find this one), the Elasmosaurus and the Saltasaurus These are for me some of the best sculpts in recent years. Most of them are affordable and can be found easily. Then again Cordylus has a point, you should buy whatever you like. So check them out and decide by yourself! Welcome!

It appears to me that the case might not be wide enough for large sauropod figures. The easiest thing to do would be to start out with some of the currently available figures that you like. This would be cheaper over all and you could fill the case quickly.

Thank you for your advice, now I will pick out the ones I want to get. I am very precise with how I want to display the dinosaurs. Before I had only displayed Dinosaur Artwork on the walls, but now I feel the urge to obtain some figures to add new depth. Thanks.

If you want to have a show piece collection that is small and is very well detailed, you can't go wrong with the Papo line. Very well made figures and there are only 6-8 figures to hunt. If looking for the more obscure species, Procon have some good one and the figures are very inexpensive. Finally, it's really what interest you the most that will determine what you collection and will make it fun. Good luck with the hunt! Post a picture and share it with us, I would love to see what you end up with.
