I added 1 model to the Dinotales Specials and added the Dinometal section.

There are other issue variations. I am aware that series 1 - 3 (excluding 1.1) were also available as entire collections in display boxes (minus the secret figures I think). As far as I know these were the standard figures but factory pre-assembled. There were also 3 figure boxes known as 'shop display boxes' which is kinda misleading as it implies that they were retailer displays which is not the case. These were at least available for series 1 & 2 that I'm aware of. I have two of these for series 2 I think but I can't remember what the figure combinations are without going up in the loft and finding them. I'm pretty sure that these are standard issue figures just factory pre-assembled. There are other figures out there which I strongly suspect are Kaiyodo. I have some Dino Expo figures which are smaller still than standard Kaiyodo Dinotales and made of the same material but have no markings that I'm currently researching. Hope this helps

Thanks for the help. Series 1-4 did have collectors boxes with room for 1 secret figure. There was minor variations in many of the figures (holes types, number of pieces, very minor paint scheme changes, base colours, etc.). It is beyond me to go to that fine of a level though right now. They all seem to be standard figures though. I have seen pictures of the three figure box sets - 5 in total (for series 1-2 only). I did not know that fact about the 'show display boxes' though. Again they look to be standard figures. I wonder if they can be taken apart or if they are glued together somehow? You should bring them down stairs once in a while to enjoy them. Yes, the Dino Expo Sue T-rex figures come to mind as well as other Dino Expo Kaiyodo figures. Internally or externally there is a number 1-117 and SP numbers that seem to fit the Dinotales line (though some are missing the numbering or the number was added later). I wonder if the numbering scheme continues or the packaging says Dinotales to put those other figures in the line as well. As it stands I think there are 206 figures as in post 1. I could be wrong though as I don't even have them all - not even half - but one day. Cheers

Updated the first post by adding a table and added some notes on papers and packaging.
Did anyone ever get a Dinomania (North American) version of the Collectors Books or see one for sale anywhere?
Also, are there any known Dinotale fakes yet?

Hi,
I'm pretty late to this party but I love these figures, especially the Smilodon, hominid, Acrocanthrosaurus and the Siesmosaurus.
Oh, also love the skeleton versions. There's a new Protoceratops skeleton that looks awesome.

If I remember correctly, there has been a link in the first post... not sure though... Anyway, could it be that "new Protoceratops Skeleton" simply refers to the fact that it is part of series 6 (instead of series 5 to which the Protoceratops belongs)? Of course, like all series 6 figures there are two colour schemes of the Protoceratops skeleton (but on the pamphlet they are not figured next to each other, they are both on the pamphlet, though). Could this have caused the confusion? I'm not aware of any other Dinotales Protoceratops skeleton except for these (104a/b).

Thanks for the info Bronto. I also really like the Carnotaurus figure. I think I got the first three or four series, as well as the Jurassic Park Dinotales, but stopped after that. I need to get the newer favorites. I saw a Proto skeleton in the ad, but it's too bad if they did not make one after all.

The ones I have: Lavender Eryops, Silver Opabinia, Pleurocystites. This series is very unique since it represents a whole lot of unseen animals.
