Ok, now that my SEGA figures is almost complete, I figured better put them all in one thread instead of scattered all over ;D
SEGA figures are based on the Japanese video game. They are still hard to find since I don't think they were widely available outside of Japan. You can find them sporadically on ebay.
I personally love the figures! ;D Of course.
Despite inaccuracies, they are nicely done, sort of a cross between retro and stylized. There are 36 official figures, and one random mammoth ;D As far as I know, these were the only figures released, I don't think there are more.
Anyway, as expected, I'm a big fan of their ceratopsians, marine reptiles, and sauropods ;D
There is another line of figures very similar to SEGA, the Happinet collection. They were released about the same time.
Here they are, including their series #:
The duckbills I really like the group
#3 Parasaurolophus, #23 Fukuisaurus, #27 Saurolophus
#33 Shantungosaurus
The Ceratopsians, now were talking ;D
#1 Triceratops (the most boring), #13 Styracosaurus, #28 Pentaceratops
#35 Pachyrhinosaurus
The Sauropods ;D
#36 Titanosaurus (not sure what kind, could be Amphelosaurus?)
#24 Saltasaurus
#21 Amargasaurus (with little ones ;D)
#18 Seismosaurus
The lone marine reptile (with others)
#17 Futabasaurus
Bad hair day ;D
#5 Spinosaur, #20 Therizinosaurus,#19 Deinonychus
#26 Megaraptor, #30 Megalosaurus (perhaps the best figure of it out) #14 Acrocanthosaurus
#32 Yangchuanosaurus
#25 Saurophagnanax
# 4 T-Rex Red and black Version
#15 Pacycephalosaurus and #16 Pteranodon
#6 Saichania (middle, others are Happinet figures)
# 37 Mammoth
I don't have picture of is # 31 Majungasaurus, #2 Carnotaurus,and #29 Pawpawsaurus
I have them, just never got around photographing them ;D
I will add them one of this days
The only figure I don't have is # 22 Stegosaurus
Bonus:
Some mini SEGA figurres ;D
Hope you all enjoyed the show, till next time ... still have to do the Happinet and large Vinyls ;D
