Great job on this one, Shane. I love seeing the occasional carnivore, with it's mouth closed. ;D
What scale is this, if you don't mind my asking? 1/15?

Like the pose..it seems to sniffing the air or maybe watching a passing pterosaur.
A commissioned piece being available depends on the commissioner I think, some say yes the artist can reproduce them, some say no.
This would be cool is 1/15..it go right with Shane's new Allosaurus...and of course he can be painted up like the Dinosaur Rev. Torvo.. ;D

Actually no! The person who is commissioning me to do this has hired me to create for him a line of 1/20th scale dinosaurs that HE is going to offer to the public. Most of the time commissions work two ways either they hire someone to sculpt a subject for them to carry and sell (as in this case) or they hire someone to sculpt them an original for thier collection only, very few commission someone and then allow the sculptor to sell it and make profits . Some sculptors do from time to time get allowed to make a percentage of the sales from the work they have created for the person doing the commissioning , but thats usually because the sculptor is doing all the selling of the product for them and then taking a cut of the action for doing so. Im doing this very thing with the Psittacosaurus that im still working on . This commissioner hired me to do it but does not have the resources to market it so im taking on the task for him for a percentage of the sales. the model of the Torvosaur and this Camarasaur are all 1/20th scale ,i will send more Camarasaur pics soon.-take care. That Camptosaurus is looking great, Shane. I'm glad to hear your progressing nicely on the Psittacosaurus as well. I can't wait to see that one fully detailed and painted, not to mention see it in person.

My website is currantly under a huge makeover so check back in soon to see it when its ready , lots of dino art on it. lots. Im working on a base now to go with the Phoro which has a small early horse -(propalaeotherium) running away for the Terror bird, i will post pics of it when im done. This kit will be available very soon and it will run $120 with shipping included. The Phoro is 6.5"tall and 7.0 Long and it has fresh brand new molds of it so castings are perfect. Attachments:

Wow, exciting new stuff from you Shane! But...there are still so many earlier pieces of yours that I have yet to bring to my modest collection. I swear, between you and Galileo, there are just so many gorgeous, stunningly detailed models for us now. Looking forward to seeing your updated website, if only for some window shopping and very occasional purchase. Your Ceratosaurus/Kentrosaurus is still my most prized piece!

Hey Shane, got the new Camarasaurus. It looks great! The usual scientifically accurate and highly detailed sculpt that we have come to expect. Can't wait to see the rest of the series.
