Wow Shane that's awesome..the workspace and the collection ! I think you should start a Collection thread and photograph more of those a bit more closely. It's nice to know there are other artists who like to display and look at their own work..I know several can't stand displaying their own stuff..or they go the opposite route and won't bother with others efforts. I like doing both myself..other artists are a great source of inspiration and displaying your own work is also very motivational.

Glad to see she/he is finally home safe. I know you must be relieved to finally have it in your hands. Waiting for a statue can be one of the most nerve wracking things to deal with. lol

Wow, congrats, Chris! He is def one of the best Al's I've ever seen. And with an awesome paint job. He also looks like a pretty big guy too. He's def holding his own next to the Sideshow Apato. (Congrats on him too!) How big is the Allo -- size and scale?

Thanks. He's 1/15 if I recall correctly and 11" x about 25" . Yes that's one Apato that is def confused after getting to full mature adult size and outgrowing her predators they up the ante.. heh The paint job isn't exactly what I wanted but it's still nice nonetheless. This is what I was aiming for : Lots of fond memories attached to that robot....it was always one of my favorites. Maybe one day I'll commission a replica of him in particular.

I think the paintjob you ended up with looks very cool...very natural looking. Thanks, and I agree with that, it's just more what I had my heart set on. It's hard to live up to expectations when you've built something up in your head so much as well. I did a lot of thinking before deciding on that color scheme and pattern you know ? That's all. It's really an awesome sculpt with a lot of details and the paint does show that well.

What a gorgeous ankylosaur! Definitely reminds me of a Greg Paul illustration. This is from the Nodosaur family (no club tail) group so its not From the Ankylo family. Sauropelta is about 4.5 to 5.5 ft tall and 20 to 23 feet long on the largest specimens and this depicts that size range. here is a close up of the detail started. lots to do yet. Attachments:

How about if i split the cost with you ,it would be about 18 $ to ship so i will pay 1/2. the kit is 65 plus 9$ for you so the total on your end would be 74$ and if you order asap i can get it to you for Christmas. Your thoughts? Email me for info: sfstudios@charter.net thanks.

I just thought I would let everyone know that I just placed an order off of the Dan's Dinosaurs website, buying one of Shane's models, and they have some of the best customer service that I have experienced! Very highly recommended
