Although we are all used to it, it always strikes me that a lot of people think Diplodocus is a stange and funny dinosaur name. And I have to agree, it does sound quite cheerful and funny indeed ;D

How f***ing stupid are these guys amorphous, genderless, heartless blobs hardly worthy of our attention other that to insult them? Seriously, that article's just disrespectful to the most sarcastic, cruel & heartless person that ever roamed the face of the Earth.

They're just dinosaur names--are we not, right now, saying what names we think are silly? It's just a silly article on the Internet from a silly website.

You need to get down to the street more often, there are worse things. Relax, it is a whole website just for fun.

I don't think the dinosaurs really care. Even so, humans chose the names, not them. Its just a lighthearted website meant to induce some laughs. And if you thought that one was insulting its a good thing I didn't post this one! www.cracked.com/blog/7-dinosaurs-you-could-take-in-a-fight/woops...

Why You Could Take It: The Carnotaurus is what happens when a T. Rex just kind of wanders off halfway through the dinosaur assembly process. While superficially resembling their more deadly cousins, Carneys are much smaller (only nine feet tall) have Gandalf-caliber eyebrows that they try to pass off as bull horns and were stuck with arms somehow even more retarded than Rexs.

Yeah the "wandered off the assembly process" part really cracks me up.

As a child I thought Opisthocoelicaudia was a pretty strange name for a dinosaur, though it was probably because I had a tough time trying to pronounce it, let alone remember how to spell it!

Yeah, I always thought Fukuiraptor had a bit of a rude first three letters (and I know that's not the spelling, but hey - it sounds the same!)

Yeah, I always thought Fukuiraptor had a bit of a rude first three letters (and I know that's not the spelling, but hey - it sounds the same!) Its even worse if you look at the first four letters. P.S. I think you pronounce it FOOK-oo-a-saw-rus, the same goes to fukuiraptor and fukuititan.

It's pronounced "foo-KOO-ee-RAP-tor", there is no a-saw-rus to iraptor.

I've always thought Bambiraptor was a pretty odd name. If someone shouted "Look out! There's a Bambiraptor!" I'm not sure if I'd laugh or run.

OK guys, I'm sorry for overreacting. I understand now. Sorry. I guess it was just the "true fan" in me rearing it's ugly, snarky head.
Well, I just read the other one that Griffin "accidentally" posted. Much funnier than the other one (IMNSHO) but also much more inaccurate.
