Because of my new acquisitions (Kleinwelka Parasaurolophus & Stegosaurus) I rearranged my dinosaur shelves. This ultimately resulted in a rearrangement of most of my collection ;D. I also guessed this would be the moment to take some pictures of my beloved dinosaur friends and share them with you First of all: the two shelves that are most prominant. The big guys on top and the Invictas, Kleinwelkas and Lindes below. Another shot of the Invictas, Kleinwelkas, Lindes and a little Timpo Brontosaurus I still have an empty place for an unpainted Mamenchisaurus (I've got a painted one though) My little cabinet of curiosities filled with fossils, shells, some Kaiyodo, COG, PV, Safari, Carnegie and my marine reptiles... and some other stuff I like Some more pictures of the cabinet Some dinosaurs live amid my books, like the Papo Allosaurus and Pachycephalosaurus And more litterate dinosaurs And I thought it would be good to throw in some 'Vanitas' The Favorite Scipionyx my boyfriend got me, does an excellent job being a real showpiece This closet serves as a dinosaur & shoe storage (only the dinosaur part is pictured). Most of the time it's open, so they aren't 'put away' The top shelf with the big T., WWD, a spare Invicta Brachiosaurus, but also some Safari, ColectA and my only Battat: the Styracosaurus. Also some miscellaneous stuff, like the Laramis. Second shelf from above with a little bit of everything, and already a view on the shelf below with Starlux Starlux and Nabisco mammals more Starlux Carnegie, some Dino riders, Marolin/Plaho and a Schleich Edmontosaurus Kaiyodo - I'm not satisfied at all with them being kind of piled up... I still have to find a suitable way to display them. You can also spot some Inpro I haven't made any pictures of the dinosaurs in boxes and the Chinasaurs that are waiting till I find a better place for them Hope you enjoyed

I already have seen you're collectoin, he's very nice, and nice pictures too! Thanks It's a bit different now from when you visited, except the 'cabinet of curiosities' which is more or less the same for quite a while now. The only addition in there is a Larami Elasmosaurus. The next change will be the addition of a WWD Ophthalmosaurus, that's on it's way right now

Thank you I am in love with my Starlux figures.... they are indeed heavily retro ánd heavily addictive Funny we were posting our collection pics simultaneously! I'll have a look at your collection shortly. I always like these collection photo's - in almost all collections you see a lot of the same figures, but everybody gives his/her own twist to it

A great collection! Do you have all the Starlux prehistoric animal figures? Thanks stoneage but no... I don't own all the Starlux prehistoric figures. For example: I haven't got any of the prehistoric humans yet. I do have 57 pieces and another one is on it's way from France right now (machairodus). It's indeed my goal to complete the series, but there's still a lot to acquire including some harder to find/very expensive ones. But that's of course also the fun in collecting - I guess I'm having most fun in the course of searching for figures and finding/getting them, as compared to the fun I would have if it really would be 'complete'. However, there are always the colour variations etc. to keep yourself busy with ;D.

I have most of the mammals including the Machairodus but the only dinosaur I have is the Iguanodon. I do have all the cavemen though.

Oh! I know I gush over everybody's collections, but oh! The monochrome dinosaurs look so good all displayed together like that. I love your cabinet of curiosities and those globes (want!). And you have some really beautiful books too. And is that a Japanese sword? I once said after hearing your description that yours was a collection after my own heart (not just the dinos but other things too), and now I'm even more convinced.

Himmapaan, thank you so much for your friendly words this is the best compliment I good get I like you noticed the globes - I am really fond of globes, especially old ones. The big one is from the '60 from Germany (Hermann Haack VEB), the smaller one is a replica of a globe by Mercator from 1541 - it's from a company named Authentic Models (authenticmodels.com) who make a lot of beautiful (and in some cases, like this one, also affordable) replicas of globes and other interesting and beautiful stuff. I've also got a slightly larger globe from this company, a replica from 18th century France. They are sometimes sold in museumshops. The sword is also a replica we bought it in Thailand, in a tourist shop at Ko Phi Phi - but I have to say: the shop owner had a really interesting taste and sold stuff you couldn't find in every other shop (like most of the shops there). My boyfriend likes to swing the sword now and then

Ah, fancy the sword being bought in Thailand. ;D My father had a Japanese katana at our old home back in Chiang Mai, and I'm almost certain it was a real sword rather than a replica, I never asked him about it then. I do remember it being really heavy for my seven/eight-year-old self. I was pretty scandalised when an older cousin of mine who came to visit removed it from display and actually drew it out of the scabbard. ('Put it back, or khun paw* will kill me!!' ;D) I wonder what became of it now. Thank you for the info on those globes. I'd always longed for one (or several, especially replicas of historical ones) but still don't have one even now. * Khun paw = father

Wonderful collection! I also like the way you sorted them. It's impossible to find ppl from the opposite sex collecting dinosaurs here (let alone the extreme music I listen to....)
