Okay, it took a few viewings, but I finally comprehend this. The Allosaur pulls off the sauropod's tail, then later when he's feeding on it, it whacks him. LoL. Killer find.

I love the Allosaurus scenes...and that's great when he's trying to eat the Diplodocus tail and it slaps him ! lol
There is also the Tyrannosaur bit which I've read is suppose to replicate the face biting seen in that species.

That Acrocanthosaurus looks a lot like the special white painted Kaiyodo Acro

I'm wondering whether the tail thing is supposed to be emulating what lizards do with their tails.
Now I'm wondering why.

I had the same thought. Maybe put forth a theory that sauropods fragile tail tips could break off and regrow...or the Allosaur was just able to shear off that tiny bit sounds more reasonable.

They look beautiful! Is the Acro in Reign of the dinosaurs or is it from monsters resurrected???

The Acro is indeed from Monsters Resurrected. I actually sculpted and painted it. It was supposed to have a few more layers of dirt, specularity and more added detail etc, but time ran out. Oh well. Fresh out of the shower I guess.

That would def have made it more realistic...but it looks fine as is. I thought the style looked familiar !

This looks really cool, but what ever happened to Monsters Resurrected? It seems like it just disappeared without finishing.

The Acro and and Tenontosaurus in the museum sequence were the only ones I sculpted for that series. I think the series was a casualty of a regime change at the Network.

I've got MR on my Netflix queue. Gotta get around to watching one of these days, maybe do up a follow-up review to the Spinosaurus episode for my blog...

Has anyone else heard that with Reign's episodes half will be narrated the the other half not ? No narration..just Dinos doing their thing ! It sounds like one of Delgado's books come life ! ;D
