Heh, that looks identical to the safari krono!
However, part of why it looks so silly is because the artist put the eye in the wrong socket. It should be further forward, where the nostrils are.

I haven't seen wwd in a long time. Was there a kronosaurus in it? I only remember the lio.
Its hard to see the lio in your pic, but the neck does look silly. Could very well have looked like that though, in real life.

No i meant that i like the Lio design in WWD better than de kroni in the book , With the thin neck huge jaw muscles and narrow snout , looks more menacing than that reptialian carrot that is pictured in that book lol

Liopleurodon..bah. I thought Kronosaurus was cool before everybody liked pliosaurs. Although I prefer Brachauchenius. But it's pretty obscure, you probably haven't heard about it yet. ;D I dislike kronosaurus becausethe head looks stupid , something they fixed in wwd with the thin neck the huge jaw mussles and the narrow muzzle , I have a 1980's book with a lio picture in it ...looks nothing like wwd There are animals that looked like WWD but just not liopleurodon Talk about missing the point--I'm pretty much following Horridus' lead Hipster-style making fun of hte Liopleurodon love, that's all. I don't actually care that much one way or the other about any particular pliosaur. Now polycotylids, they rule.

But all those marine reptiles look like puppies compared too Dunkleosteus thats something you would expect in a god of war game

Dunklosteus was cool when it was Dinicthys, but then it changed its name and went mainstream. I remember when giant armoured fish had integrity. I was into placoderms when they were still underground.

The eyes are in the right spot on that krono... You can see the muscles of the temporal fenestrae behind them.

Ok, thanks. I was thinking they were even further forward than that.

The point of this whole topic is that it was scientifically impossible for Pliosaurs to exceed 50 feet, not that the largest one was 50 feet long. Liopleurodon..bah. I thought Kronosaurus was cool before everybody liked pliosaurs. Although I prefer Brachauchenius. Why don't you tell us how you really feel, man. 3) Maybe the picture looks nothing like the WWD Liopleurodon is because it is from the NINTEEN-EIGHTIES! Not NINTEEN NINTY-NINE! Sorry for putting all that in words, it's a bit hard to rant in numbers. 4) Surely the thin neck would be a hindrance for Liopleurodon and it's kin (please help Dr. A!)? 5) That picture you cited...it is horribly, horribly inaccurate. Please get a book with art that's not from the NINTEEN-EIGHTIES! Sorry about the text-dates, once again. 6) Sorry for picking your opinion to pieces, just business, y'know, nothing personal or anything. And I know that you probably have a book from after the 1980's, but it just helps emphasise my point.

My feelings for liopleurodon is that it was really 8m long even if it is my favourite. I don't have any likings for giganotosaurus!

The Blue Whale is the largest predator! We're not counting plankton-feeders here. Our predators need teeth ;D

Thought I would introduce Mauisaurus, an elasmosaur from New Zealand that apparently grew over 60 feet (18 m) in length! Probably not a top-predator like the other critters listed here, but still quite impressively sized.
