Just say it's a 'Caudipteryx-like oviraptorosaur' and you're OK...

Yep, that would work. Here´s a little something I´ve been sketching: Two Dsungaripterus dealing with a Gualong, who bit off more than he could chew...

Thanks for the advice. This is something I sketched a while ago: Delapparentia turolensis, a recently described iguanodontid from Spain, and sister taxa to I. bernissartensis. A rather huge ornithopod, apparently, up to 10 meters as estimated by the few known bones . Painting in progress... I have something else involving theropods doing nasty stuff and a recently published paper, but still needs some work...

That's really nice. Would you mind me featuring it over at Love in the Time of Chasmosaurs?

Wow! I really like the two Dsungaripterus attacking the Guanlong! You have outdone yourself! Thanks! The pterosaurs are just defending themselves though This is my last WIP, my take on this recent paper about dromaeosaurs using their claws to pin down their prey while their jaws do the nasty work ( www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0028964)... The dromie here is Saurornitholestes and the poor fella a sub adult Stegoceras. Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Thanks again! You know, I had my doubts about this one. Shortly after I started this sketch I noticed that it looks like a duller version of the amazing and recently submited Emily Willoughby interpretation : ferahgo-the-assassin.deviantart.com/art/Deinonychus-Prey-Restraint-275810840 . Although this is just a coincidence I like my stuff to be as different and original as possible, within the limits of believability. So, most probably I´ll finish this one, but I had another version in mind. Maybe a front angle, featuring some juvie sauropod instead of an ornithopod. I don´ t know yet...

Stegoceras wasn't an ornithopod. Pacycephalosaurs were marginocephalians - their closest relatives were the ceratopsians. So no need to worry there!

Yeah but you know, same general body type . Oh, nevermind. I´ll probably forget about this second version once I finish painting this- although the dromaeosaur vs young sauropod scenario is still quite unexplored, strangely...

Another reason I don't like racing to illustrate the latest findings: everybody else will already be doing it. ;D But this one looks great and I hope you'll finish it!

Yeah but you know, same general body type I thought you might mean that. However, there's still no harm in more than one person illustrating similar scenarios. Maybe you could lower the head of the dromaeosaur so that it's biting its prey, rather than pulling away some stringy flesh. That would make it different.

Hmm, I´ll probably do that. Meanwhile, here it is this one almost finished:
