I recently watched Journey to the center of the earth 3-D. And when I saw the Rex... I knew he was gonna die. And of course, he does. He falls into a massive crack in the earth. Why must he die all the time? And why is a T-Rex in the middle of the earth anyway? How does he survive?? Good movie, but makes no sense.

I thought it was appalling. Except for the appearance of the plesiosaurs and the cool 3D. But I'm very difficult to please when it comes to movies.

I have a simple policy: no Brendan Fraser movies lol. Sounds like a sensible policy! But who can consider their life really complete without having seen 'George of The Jungle' or 'Bedazzled'?

Bedazzled means one thing to me--Elizabeth Hurley.
And seriously, I think if you are going to get riled up over smallthings like "why is T rex at the Centre of the Earth?", you are missing the bigger picture, like "Why is there ANY living thing at the Centre of the Earth?" or "Why did anyone Greenlight this movie?".

True, and what is the deal withplesiosaurs down there too? Good movie, very short though

Well according to the "sceince fiction" series Pellucidar by Edgar Rice Burroughs, the inside of the earth is actually the inverse of the outter crust.....meaning where the oceans are at on the outer, there are land masses in the inner earth. And of course this inner earth is populated by all types of prehistoric fauna. So a T-Rex would have plenty to survive on.
Now I realize that this is "Journey" which is a novel by Jules Verne, but in that novel there was prehistoric fauna as well, they encountered several sea reptiles, mastodons, and there was a beach littered with the bones of all types of dinosaurs as well.
Journey to teh Center of the Earth or some knock off of it, has been remade into films at least 1/2 a dozen times. Each remake seems to include prehistoric animals at some point, including pterosaurs, giant lizards, "dinosaur men", sea reptiles, therapods, giant turtles, and my persoanl favorite the Iguanas with fins glued to their back so they are "Dimetrodons"! I belive that the dimetrodons were done in the first version of the film done back in the 60's.
I havent seen this latest Journey, what else is in it as far as prehistoric goes? Aside from the T-Rex and plesiosaurs.

I really hated the bioluminescent archeopteryx. Don't tell you me you didn't believe in those! Everyone knows that archeopteryx's glowed blue in real life ;D
