If I keep this up my sauropod shelf is gonna have some problems. I don't know how I got them all up there with room to spare.

You have many more sauropods than me. This won't do at all...

Really? I think I just reached a milestone in my collecting career! I really like the sauropods, if I could only collect one kind of dinosaur it would be they.
Do you have a thread with your collection?

Do you have a thread with your collection? I never realised you were a lover of sauropods too, Gwangi. If I was forced (at gunpoint, perhaps*) to choose only one kind of dinosaurs to collect, it would have to be sauropods too. I'm afraid there isn't a thread of my collection yet, though I do plan to have one at some point. The trouble is, most of my collection has to be stored away, so it's trickier taking pictures of them. * Though sometimes I'm not sure whether I wouldn't prefer the gun...[/morbid]

How could I not be? So large and yet, so elegant. I feel like that size and elegance is reflected nicely in many Sauropod figures while many other dinosaur figures just look like toys by comparison. The Sauropod collection commands a certain respect. I really do love all the dinosaurs though, for different reasons, just when it comes to toys sauropods catch my eye the most.
I hope you do post your collection at some point. I'm sure with your sense of taste and style it must be a very nice collection and I would love to see it.

I couldn't have described it better. Though my 'duress' choice is not unbiased by the fact that sauropods are my favourite dinosaur group (hadrosaurs coming an extremely close second -- probably tied, actually). Ironically enough, though I've never been impressed by size as a 'cool factor', my favourite group does happen to have that among their most distinguishing features...

If hard pressed I would have to say theropods are my favorite group...I know, so cliche. It helps a lot that birds are theropods and I'm also a bird lover. I've always felt the theropod design was the perfect design for a terrestrial predator and I still feel that way. Ceratopsians are up there as well but unfortunately when it comes to toys they are poorly represented.

Time for a collection update, now the entire shelf is devoted to toys and I have no idea how I'll fit future acquisitions in there but I'm sure I'll find a way. Sauropodomorpha Theropoda More Theropoda Marginocephalia and Ornithopods Thyreophora Non-dinosaurs Toys not worthy of the shelf are often cast aside into the plants.

I got tons of shelves. Problem is; they're full of books, DVDs, fossils and skulls, aquariums or something else.

Are you not fond of the Safari Allosaurus that it's been cast among the plants?
Edited to add: Ah, I see it's a double, as with the Edmontosaurus. I'd take both off your hands but I am utterly broke. Won't you be ever so charitable and send them me as Christmas gifts? ;D

I certainly shall. But if somebody else is able to buy them or trade for them before me, please don't hesitate on my account. This is more a 'just in case' sort of thing.

Sounds good to me.
I just noticed my painted Invicta Scelidosaurus is missing from the pictures...that really bothers me for some reason.

I may have one for you

I may have one for you I do indeed have the Edmontosaurus, but not the Allosaurus. It's just that I'm hoping to customise and repaint an Edmontosaurus or two. I'm sadly unable to pay for one at the moment, however.

Great photos - love the dinos lurking in the plants.
BTW - what's Mississippi Mud beer like? Is it a stout? Looks interesting!
