So as mentioned, I figured that Playmobil may create the closest thing to a 'play set' to go with figures. Stoneage figured they wouldn't be good enough--likening Playmobil to baby toys (aside: that's like calling Lego a baby toy, but I digress). Rather than use his thread, I'll just post some here. The whole lot of them can be seen here: picasaweb.google.com/HyenaSean/Logan?feat=directlinkInterestingly, the sharks ones were made way back when I first got that toob, and also used Playmobil! It took about an hour to put together--and of course we are mixing a lot of sets, so not all of the land pieces (or plants) match. But for the kids, it's fun, and that was more the point anyway. And at least there is a volcano--dino play sets must have a volcano!

Looks great. Good to know that we are "not the only house on the block" that has kept PlayMobil Canada in the black. I agree with your assessment that every dinosaur playset needs a volcano. My son demands one every time also.

He could use the tiny one from the Prehsitoric Life toob! ;D It is far less dangerous:not that much fume, less dinosaur killed after the eruption...Kidding! We need a volcano!!!!

The problem is you have to buy many sets and spend a lot of money to get all the terrain and trees. There okay for small children but I don't need their dinosaurs. It doesn't look to bad from a distance. How about some close ups?

I'm sorta laughing at some of the disparaging remarks about the PlayMobil dinosaurs as I would suggest that you didn't get the point that they are a kids toy. PlayMobil is very market focused and pays a lot if attention to the changes in their market segment. Cost wise, this comes from a bunch of people (us a group/forum members) who are willing to pay large dollars for "that one figure - be it battat, or another brand/make. Don't get me wrong, I agree that the PlayMobil toys are not super scientifically accurate but they are in line with PlayMobil guidelines and you can still recognize them for what they are.
