Yay! So, I'm trying to get a bunch of models prepped for Shapeways. This one was the first successful upload. However, in my experience, this really means it just made it up to their server. Your printing mileage may vary So, I'm going to test this one out and see what happens. It says the Depth is 6 inches...which I am assuming is the length. So it puts it in the 1/75th range. The price is higher than I want. Its not hollowed and its at about $42. I'll need to try and hollow the thing to bring it down. I'll try making one in half the size, but am worried about the frill. Anyway, here is the pose and all. Ignore the jaggies, thats just some weird compression thing. I'm going to try hollowing it and fixing some minor things I see. I'm going to make other versions of him once I'm successful with this one. This is the first time I've tried exporting him out through Zbrush, so I'm trying to figure it out. I have the duckbills lined up though. I've got a Lambeo M. built already And a Maia too. So once it works for the Oloro I can start spitting them out and cross my fingers.

This is great news Angie. I'm always on the lookout for more Hadrosaur figures. Luckily I was able to get your Parasaurolophus before it was taken down. I'm really interested to see how your new Para looks. Anyway, great job on all of these beautiful Hadrosaur figures, and I await future installments in your Shapeway line.

Wow, this looks wonderful. Just don´t forget to remove the forelimb nails and then it will be perfect!
How much time aprox takes to shape something like this?

Beautiful work ! I wish it were 1/18 or so...even 1/40 though.. ;D Great news about this and the other duckbills ;D Did you use Gregory S Paul skeletal/drawings as a reference for this guy? It reminds me of his hadrosaur illustrations ;D Keep up posted on how this guy turns out... I'm eagerly awaiting its release.

Phantastic! This will be a great addition to your shapeways models, Angie. I love the detail on this one with all its folds, wrinkles, and osteoderms. Yeah, I can't wait, too!

Awe, you guys are so sweet Thank you everyone for all your comments and such kind words. I've been working really hard to make my dinosaurs as good as they can be, although I'm still learning, lol! I think they are getting better and I hope that people like them as much as I enjoy making them so its good to hear from you guys! Jeremy: Thank you I'm glad you like them. Yeah, that poor Para just kept getting canceled by Shapeways. Not sure what the deal with it was, but because my skill has increased I just had to put the poor thing to rest, lol! I'll get a new Para going with and without the sail soon. Basically, I'll have the Hadrosaurs covered by the time I'm done, lol!!! They were the best dinos after all! Arioch: It varies on time. Making the dinosaur from scratch (base modeling) takes the longest. It takes longer to make the dinosaurs that don't have as much information on them floating around. I would say a week would be a good average for a dino like this. Posing them does not take as long and is really fun. I'll smooth down the fingernails a bit better, they are actually gone on this model now, it just might look like they are still there because of wrinkles. I'll smooth it down a bit better though. Blade: I'm going to try putting in a large model into Shapeways and see what the price is. A lot of people have asked for them, but the price for these digital printouts is still expensive and I just never thought anyone would want to pay the money for one. I think I can get it down by hollowing it and taking off things like frills and sails...he could be a nekked, frilless Hadrosaur I'll let you know what the price range would be. Boki: Refs come from everywhere and I use them all to help me. Yes, I will ref GSP skeletals, Scott's skeletals and more importantly I look for photos and drawings of the skulls and skeletons. Especially for these Hadrosaurs their headgear is so unique I really want to try and get it right. Its also important to not just make a generic dinosaur. Thats why this guy has his scars and wounds and stuff. You want to give them some personailty and a story. So its fine to use skeletals and such to start and make sure you get the proportions correct and then use artistic licesnse from there. I learned all that good stuff from David onboard Reign. Plus Scott helped me with my dinosaurs and I learned so much...which is why I think my dinos are looking better because of their help and teaching me. Again, THANK YOU to all you guys! You really make me feel good ;D Thanks for helping me on my dinos too! I'm glad you like them! I'll be back to ask you guys if you like the other models I have and if you want any specific poses and things. You guys are awesome I'm off to go work on the dinosaurs and try and get some up on Shapeways this week.

Here he is rendered and he was a successful upload to SW and is hollowed ;D Brought his price down to about $29 for a 6 inch sculpt. I'm going to make a smaller version as well and then other poses and without the frill. Happy dance! I'm going to order him first before I put him up for sale, just to make sure it looks good. If it does I'll release the bunch of them at once. I'll be back with more Hadrosaurs ;D

Glad to hear you'll be covering all of the Hadrosaurs in figure form. Like you said, they were the best Dinosaurs. Not to mention Parasaurolophus was the only herbivore to appear in all three JP films. ;D
I second Chris's statement about 1:40 scaled figures. I'd definitely buy a few from you at that scale. Maybe once they're hollowed out, they won't cost too much. I still think they're cheap, considering the quality of the sculpts. ;D

That Oloro looks fantastic, Angie! Such detail! Any chance on seeing it released in 1/144 scale too, to go along with David's? ;D I'd also love to see it in maybe one or two other poses too! That would be GREAT for herd making. Maybe even a young one?

Just out of curiosity, you only do hadrosaurs? it is because you like them a lot or because they´re less problematic to shape than other dinosaurs?

I've no doubt Angie can do any other dinosaur beautifully! But I do know that she is especially partial to hadrosaurs -- and quite rightly too. ;D

I think it’s a great idea to do a whole series devoted to just one group. I don't think it's been done before. An artist focusing on just one group at a time, will give us a unique collection that are consistent in style. Hadrosaurs is my third favorite group, just next to Sauropods and ceratopsians. I can't wait to see and acquire the entire set. With all the newly discovered ceratopsian, maybe the next series would be devoted to them, right? ;)I can dream ;D

Hi guys! Thank you all so much for all your compliments I've been super busy sculpting as many dinosaurs as I can. I have a lot of different versions for the Olorotitan and the Lambeosaurus. Basically you can create herds of about 4 different animals, both male and female. Hi arioch! Yeah as the others say I'm incredibly partial to Hadrosaurs. They are my favorite group of dinos by far and I just think they are so beautiful...so I can't help my self but sculpt ALL of them, lol!!! I will and actually do have other dinosaurs sculpted...I just need to perfect them and get them hollowed out. The Hadrosaurs are not the most difficult to sculpt...thankfully. I will go group by group to give an entire set for people to choose from in many different poses. I'm glad you guys like that idea! The next group was going to be the Steggies (my 2nd fav group), but I also like the Ceratopsids (3rd fav!). I've also got plans for some iguanodons/dollodons. I tend to for some reason focus on the plant eaters although I have sculpted some carnivores. I'm open to requests...maybe after I sculpt these guys I'll do a poll Anyway, I have gotten all the Oloros sculpted and loaded into SW. I've just finished sculpting and hollowing (that takes the longest and is a pain ) all the Lambeosaurus'. They are the Labeo m. variety. I even got a 1/40th version up and it isn't as expensive as I thought it would be. Probably helps that these guys were not that big and they;ve been hollowed. I've got Corythosaurus going now along with the Maias and Saurolophus. A new version of the Eddie will be done I think. Basically I'm going right down the list of the Hadrosaurs. So, here are some screen caps of them sitting in SW so you can see what I've got going. I've ordered all of the different versions and am waiting for them to clear the printer at SW. Once they clear the printer I know they actually can be printed and will turn them loose. I'm always afraid of letting them go without buying them first in case there is an error. I hate having customers get that dreaded "can't print" notice. I'll let you guys know once they are up. Thanks as always you guys I'm SO happy you like my dinosaurs ;D

Angie, are you planning to release a version of the oloro without the extra skin on the back of the neck?
