I'm in Europe too - as far as I can see the only option is pay a lot. However, I think the dollar is quite weak at the moment so it's not so bad a deal for us Europeans... ;D

My first issue arrived My first impression is that I'm impressed with the volume of the content and number of graphics - there is more info on toys than I was expecting. Maybe that is not always the case. The slightly amateurish formatting bugs me (I'm a pedant) but it's not a big deal really, so long as the content is good (I haven't read any of it yet). I'm glad I subscribed

I payed $40 for a year subscription, thats four magazines. The current issue is 58 pages -pretty substantial. That converts to 29.4144 Euros, or 7.35 Euro per issue. 7.35 for a magazine including shipping across the Atlantic - I think that's an excellent deal. Plus you get the added bonus of receiving and opening a package every few months - always brightens up the day

Dr Admin, Does Randy Knol's article talk about Procon scale? Is anyone credited? Thanks

/\ I checked - "they don't use a fixed scale". Many are roughly 1/40, however. It is stated that there is a range of artists, although no sculptors are credited. Anthony Beeson is the technical advisor.

Sometimes the rules that OCPD sufferers obcessively follow are of their own devising, or are corruptions or re-interpretations of the letter of the actual rules. ;D

Good for you ;)The price is really not bad. It is the only, as far as I know, magazine dedicated to collectors and amateur enthusiast. He, Mike, had to scale down how many issues a year. I think the magazine used to be released bi-monthly but the cost was prohibitive, not to mention time consuming for such a small operation. Hey, if all pans out I may have a very small cameo in the next issue I will let you guys know.

Someone told me that Randy compared the Procons with the Battats. Since that is completely irrational, there are two options: He has gone insane or he is just advertising them. Both are shameful.

I agree. Battats cost WAAYY too much to be compared with other dinosaur toys like Procon. By the way, anyone need a Battat Styracosaurus? I am pretty sure I can get them easily--lots, actually. And no, there are no others.

Here we again with Procon. Why do you get so mad every time somebody says something nice about Procon? You don't have to like it or buy any Procon figures, but you also don't have to be mean and always put the line down. BTW, here is Randy's exact line in regards to to Battat and Procon figures: "dessign quality is still uneven. Spinosaurus and Shunusaurus looks chubby like UKRD figures while others, like Olorititan, Rebbachisaurus, and Lexovisarus, have details and body torsion equal to Batta's figures". See? I don't think that was bad at all. I think reading the entire article ( topic is something old and something new) will make a lot more sense.

I think it's more that some people strangely think that somehow Battat is the epitome of dino figures. Personally, I don't see it. I do see that Procon is uneven, but I give them credit for at least trying. I think mych of the comparison came about because, like Procon now, Battat tried to do some different species than the usual species (and look how well that worked for them).
